Questions for Fans Drafting after the Wolves...
Iggy and Lou and the Pick 2011 Lottery Protected Pick for OJ and the 25th picks...I'd run OJ at the 2 and Turner at the 3...Holiday/Mayo/Turner/Thad/Speights and Draft Pick would be me core...Maybe a shot blocker...I'll let Sam/Kapono and Green Expire and go Forward in Free Agency next year...
thats solid for philly
for the griz:
pg: conley, (28th pick maybe bledsoe), marcus williams
sg: lou, brewer
sf: Iggy, sam young
pf: Z-BO, (12th pick probably patterson),darrell arthur
c: marc, thabeet
i like it alot
resign Gay...I think you'd be best off Trading Zac and Going after Rudy and draft a PF this year...Re do the Trade Like this
Iggy/Lou Will and Future Pick for OJ/Thabeet and Conley...You keep your Picks...12th/25th and 27th in the first...Draft Babbit or Patterson @12...Elliot Williams, Eric Bledsoe or Armon Johnson late...
the only problem i would have with that is there is a big hole at backup center.
what about we keep thabeet and you keep your future pick and we throw in the 28 so you can go after a larry sanders type player
Philly gets:
OJ Mayo
Mike Conley
#28 pick
Griz get:
Iggy
Lou Williams
did something happen that made griz fans not think theyre gonna have gay next year? i thought it was like a sure thing they will match any offer.
the most likely to happen right now is probably a sign and trade but i'm not sure i'd give rudy straight up for iggy
we dont really get any better or worse with your trade
Ala Jose Calderon, Pau...Rudy,OJ, Marc and Zac...Get Iggy for less and recieve the same results...except Iggy palys great d and passes his ass off...Gay is a black hole...If we throw in J.Smith a 7 footer with Range for cheap and you give us Thabeet it's a win win...
Iggy/L.Will and J.Smith for OJ/Conley and Thabeet...We take the risk on Thabeet and Conley...Iggy and Lou Will are starters...L.Will might be your 6th man...instant offense...J.Smith can back up Gasol...You keep enough Cap room to try to Keep Rudy...You can go over the Cap to sign your own guy...You can keep Rudy at the 3...Move Iggy to The 3 or Vice Versa,..Gay could be a Durant style 2...let Iggy play the point forward role at SF...just Trade Zac who is 20/10 and an Expiring Deal,...build around Gay/Iggy and Gasol...you keep the picks and can sell the 25th and 27th to ensure resigning Rudy...U just give Up OJ...Conley would be a back up to JRue...Thabeet would be our future center after Sam Dalembert expires next year...Maybe...He's still a mystery...We keep our future pick you keep Gay and your Picks...We do this and Hope Mayo is 20 plus ppg scorer...he and Holiday can also lock it down up top...
i might consider that one. its seems like a pretty good deal. the only problem for me is i've always been a big believer in thabeet because i think he'll be a good player and a dominant defensive center. i like that we get to keep our 3 picks but now we need a starting pg and a backup canter (i have no faith in j smith lol) so i say we go after avery bradly with the #12 and larry sanders with the #25 then maybe bledsoe with the #28
seems like a pretty good deal
pg: avery bradley, marcus williams, eric bledsoe
sg: rudy gay (matchup nightmare) lou williams
sf: iggy, ronnie brewer, sam young
pf: Z-BO (dont think many teams will take his huge contract and the griz are tring to restructure it anyways) d-arthur
c: marc gasol, larry sanders, j smith
not bad because it means that bradley, williams and bledsoe would just have to pass and penetrate because of all the scoring options
we're drafting larry sanders and he would be a great fit with the griz and a good replacement for thabeet
i'm not saying he's as good as thabeet but he can move alot better than him and does alot of the things thabeet does
you might be right. this was just the way my trade works out in a perfect world
look at the 5th and 6th posts in this forum thats the trade i was really pushing for and the trade that gives them the most depth
I'd get Babbit @ 12 personally...just in case you do lose Rudy...lets cross are fingers...I love the Grizz Team...just hate the front office....Then still get the big and best PG...I'd even think about about Vasquez with that last pick...Him or Armon Johnson...A big Guard...U could probably get Tony Parker for Zac and a Pick late....3 way that trade and get NY to sign Felton and Brewer for Tony Parker...The Spurs would love to pair a 20/10 guy w/Tim Duncan if they can't somehow get Bosh or Boozer(I can see them together for some BBall reason) the Knicks would love to get TP in the garden and the Grizzles solve their Pg and Defensive stopper issuses...Ny Get Tony Parker...Memphis gets Ray Felton and Ron Brewer( Maybe David Lee???) Zac for Lee for Tony Parker not a bad move for the Knicks, Spurs or Grizzles...)
thatguy - id rather lose gay but if you look at that team up there there's tons of depth and that what they've been lacking this whole time
scarecrow215legend - you've got some good ideas i'm just not sure that any nba team want Z-BO's contract its like 17 million a year i believe
Point Guard
Bledsoe - Conley is weak but can sign like Raymond Felton
Shooting Guard
Iggy and Sam Young, Sam Young was really good off the bench for them last year
Small Forward
Gay and Brewer. Already is deep
Power Forward
Zach Randolph and whoever they draft will provide depth
Center
Marc Gasol and Thabeet. scoring and defense which is pretty good
The reason that the story of Philadelphia supposedly needing to trade Iguodala has nothing to do with those two players not being able to play together. It is not true. Talented and unselfish players can adjust. The reason they want to tell that story is so they can start fixing their balance sheet. The team is going to be bad for a couple years anyway, so ownership would rather pay less for that badness. If they move Iguodala and watch Dalembert, Green, and Kapono come off the books after next season, they can get healthier much quicker.
I don't see why people want to force the Clippers to reach on a group of small forwards who are not nearly as good as the free agent crop at that position. I think that there is value in grabbing a power forward where they are picking, and it isn't like there is a long list of NBA teams who have kicked themselves for having too many capable big men. Even grabbing a guy like Eric Bledsoe makes more sense, because it is a guarantee that his quickness and athleticism will allow him to find some success off the bench.
are you crazy! what?! aint no way in hell i would do that. first of all forget the 28 and darrell arthur now what are the sixers going to throw in to get rudy because he's better than iggy
No because honestly that doesn't improve the team if you move more players and get more depth then sure but that deal is not gonna work because it doesnt the depth needs
and why do you give yourself a point for everything you say?
Their draft picks improve the depth... draft a power forward.... depth and a future.... a point guard.... depth..... the 28th pick.... depth... have depth at small forward and center
Gay and Brewer
Gasol and Thabeet
depends on whose there if eric bledsoe is there then take him but something tells me he will be gone and i'm not big on willie warren or terrico white so then i would say MLE on felton

Many Think this draft is 4 players Deep...With Wall,Turner,Favors and Cousins being the true franchise building players...Sure guys like Whiteside and George are said to be big Potential Guys...But really is this draft 10 to 20 players strong...Are their 20 guys that are untouchable draft picks???...Besides Wall,Turner,Favors and Cousins, are there any untouchable draft picks???...I ask because while lacing my Hyperizers I taught to myself...If this draft is so loaded...why does every one want to move up,down or out of the draft completly??? Would Teams with some cap like the Kings,Clippers and T'Wolves trade their picks outside of the Top 4 for Andre Iguadola...If Iggy and Turner are said to be similar players why wouldn't the Wolves Want Iggy...If they Love Turner...Why not Iggy who is a more athletic version of Turner to some scouts...That's why they through out the they don't need Turner talk for a few weeks...
My Big Question is...Is Iggy worth the Kings 5th pick assuming The Wolves draft Cousins...The Clippers 8th pick (assuming they are the Clippers and no one wants to sign There) or the Wolves 16th and 23rd picks...Is he Worth The Grizzles collection of Picks in the 1st round(assuming Gay is Bolting or wants max money...) None of those teams are real players in FA minus the Rudy Gay Signing or NOT...) Why wouldn't they trade their pick
Kings options at 5... Monroe, Wes Johnson or Aminu...
Clippers options at 8...Wes, Aminu, George, Babbit, Hayward or Henry
Grizzles options at 12...Babbit???Aminu???George??? Henry, Bradley and Whiteside...
T'Wolves options at 16 and 23...which are less than the ones above...
I dont even think its fair for the Sixers at first unless a guy like Henry or Babbit are taken with the Pick at 12, 16 or 23...Getting Depth thru trading Iggy for the 16th and 23th or 12th and 24th would help surround Turner and Holiday with shooters and inside defenders...Henry is the only guy worth picking and he wont last after the Bucks or Bulls...getting a pick or 2 in the mid to late lottery or mid first round could get Henry and Whiteside...
The Trade I really wonder about is the Grizzles Trade...Iggy for the 12th/25th and 27th picks in the draft...We can get a guy like Henry or George(if the Hornets pass on either)
and still get a couple role playing Bigs...maybe one of them turns into a long term solution for Sam Dalembert...Maybe we package those two picks to move up and get a more proven College Center or bigger Boom or Bust guy like Whiteside...I'd even be cool with Orton that Late...Alabi...Jerome Jordan...Some bOdy...Come on Am I Ranting...but is Iggy not a Top Flight Athlete that can Impact a team with a Great Scorer...Give me Those Picks Dammit!!!!!!!!!!
