rileymcshea3ParticipantWould Josh Smith be a good fit at Sf on the Clips with Blake Griffin and Deandre Jordan they would be like the alley hoop kings . And Chris Kamen would be a really good fit for the Hawks also .So my question is do you think Josh Smith playing sf on the Clips would be a good thing for them?

TimbosliceParticipantYea, why not. He seems content with the doing all the little things to help the team win and the clippers biggest hole is a starting SF, although he plays more PF now he can make the move to SF. I know I’d love to see it.

B-ball fanParticipantI don’t think that frontcourt would have enough floor spacing. It would be better for the Clippers to get a 3-point threat than Smith, who is really a PF.

BigDParticipantHonestly, with the amount that Jordan is prone to fouling and getting in foul trouble, Griffin could spend some time at the centre and Smith at the PF, now that would be difficult to guard for any frontcourt, i think he would be a great fit, it would only work properly if they had a really good PG, say Chris Paul??

That’s one quick and athletic starting 5 and that would be extremely difficult to stop on the break, defensively they would be set also, that lineup there is a potential Championship Contender a year or 2 down the road. They’ll need a few shooters at the SF and SG spots however, James Jones? He is under contract?

HobbyOGParticipantI don’t think so..Clippers need a small foward with some what of a jumpshot. They better off getting Iggy…I live in Atlanta and when I’m at the game people yell at Josh Smith not to shot because his jump shot is so inconsistant..

So teams would just clog the lane, and the Clippers would have little to no offensive versatility on their front line. I think it would be a terrible move, and while Josh improved as a FT shooter and is no longer a huge liability, Griffin and Jordan still are.
I honestly do not know why people on here are so crazy about DeAndre Jordan. He had a decent season, but he still was not even close to as great as people make him out to be. His offense is incredibly limited, and I still think he relatively gets lit up by bigger and stronger centers. He needs to become a much more efficient player before he starts earning the praise of being a center you want to start on your team. He is still young, but he needs to get much better for the Clippers to feel confident about winning with him playing a big role in the middle.
