BigDParticipantHow is Rondo better then Rose? thats a better question. Rondo is very good, but i would like to see Rondo lead the Bulls like Rose is.

RodBeamteamParticipantRose is the better overall player between the two.Rondo is the better passer out the two.when i think of point guard i think about leadership and assist which both have just rondo is a lil better at but rose have took over the Bulls and carried them on his back and is top 2 for M.V.P this year so obviously Rose.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantCeltics would be unbeatable if they had Rose..The Bulls would be the worst team in the league if they had Rondo…But Rondo is the better passer…And perfect the player for the Celtics…Sometimes i wonder how good he would be,if the Suns had kept him? Would they have him and Nash as their starting backcourt? What type of defender he’d be?

Ghost01ParticipantNo. Only bias Boston fans who have no sense of basketball.

akhan786ParticipantI’d say Rondo is the better POINT GUARD but Rose is the better overall player and if I were to start a team I would build around Rose not Rondo. However, if had a bunch of superstars but needed a facilitator to get things going i.e. the Heat I would pick Rondo over Rose as the perfect fit.

mgreener_34Participant"Rose is the better overall player between the two"
Seriously? Rose is a better scorer…thats it. Both players effect the game just as much as the other, and in different ways. The only difference is Rose does it with scoring and rondo does it by using his team mates.

HaleParticipantEach is better in their respective situation. But if you’re building a team, you’ve got to pick Derrick Rose.

BigDParticipant"The only difference is Rose does it with scoring and rondo does it by using his team mates."
That’s precisely why Rose is a better player. Rondo NEEDS team mates to work with to make him good. Rose is carrying the Bulls by himself.

ChrischiParticipantRondo is a great player but I wouldn’t necessairly say is a better PG only because that kind of assists.
Reasons:
– They’ve played for so long together.
– Rondo doesn’t have to score. Rose has to.
– Allen and Pierce can shoot from everywhere, Garnet and Fat Baby have good jumpers. He can always lob it to Garnett and Shaq. The C’s are shooting 50% from the field. It’s easier for him to get that kind of assists than for Rose.
No disrespect to Rondo he is a great PG, but I would still take Rose and Westbrook over him, simply because they don’t need that good of a team to be effective.
