dmo21ParticipantThere are some tough ones here and most of the time the choices are up to preference. The only one I see worth mentioning is Murray starting in Denver. He is a rookie and they have Harris and Barton who could start instead. Plus, they don’t have much for a backup point guard right now so I feel Murray will play that role more. It’s also been talked about that he will have to earn his minutes next year, so that’s another reason why I don’t see him starting.

festar35ParticipantThe OKC Thunder still look like a really good team. They have nice depth and are still very young growing side.

Prime TimeParticipantLine ups can be tough to predict sometimes.
If I’m Denver, I’m starting Gary Harris over Jamal Murray.
If I’m Portland, I start Al Farouq-Aminu over Evan Turner. Al is a better defender which the first unit could use. Evan needs the ball in his hands to be effective, but he won’t have that with Lillard and McCollum. I like the idea of Turner being the primary playmaker for the second unit.

Jr. ROXASParticipantTerry Stotts did confirm though when he was a guest commentator in the summer league that Evan will start at SF and Aminu will play the 4.
I believe they’re trying to replicate the Dubs model on offense. Evan will be the Draymond/Iggy on offense setting up the offense while CJ and Dame come off a million screens just like Steph and Klay. Theyre offense last year was actually pretty warriors like with CJ and Dame playing off the ball often. Plumlee was their Bogut then.

cozmojimParticipantWhat I’ve heard out of Portland is that they plan on starting Aminu at the 4, in a small ball type lineup. That’s what they did at the end of last year when they really started clicking.

The GoatParticipantThat Jazz team is deep. I think Exum will start by mid year and he has recovered because they had a very impressive defensive performance at the back end of his rookie year when they had him and Gobert on court together. I expect they’ll play Exum and Hill together for long stretches too.

Captain LParticipantAs. Jazz fan, I agree Hood will start over Burks, Hill over Exum for a few months anyway and then if Exum produces like they think , he could take over the starting point guard spot .
I’m big Murray fan but I see Harris starting for Denver, especially to start the season.
I agree Turner will be best off the bench and I’m not sure I see Davis as their starting 4,

ZachAttackParticipantAll the Jazz fans have stated it already but Burks will more than likely come off the bench. I think he and Lyles will be monsters off the bench.

OhCanada-ParticipantVery competitive division. Its nice to see all teams looking to compete for the division title in preseason. I really have no clue how they will finish in the standings. Right now I would ranked them.
1.OKC
1.Portland
3.Utah
4.Minnesota
5.Denver
