Picking MCW over Stephenson was not easy…

If Michael Carter Williams gets in over Afflalo, Teague or Stephenson I will stop following the NBA.

Not even LeBron made it to the All-Star game as a rookie.  I don’t think MCW makes it over Teague or Stephenson.

Kyle Lowry has a PER of 20, 3 higher then Derozans, he is doing more to help the team, Demar just scores.

Perhaps Drummond over Noah? Detroit is losing, but Drummond has been pretty amazing

There is a good chance MCW makes it.  I’m a Sixer fan anyhoo but the league is big on building players to market and I’m here to tell you that kid is far more marketagble for the NBA than Teague, Lance, Lowry, Milsap and Derozan.  Its a league of star building and he has that potential  Don’t be shocked.

The all-star game is in New Orleans which means that Anthony Davis’ is a lock for hometown player in the game.

Almost every time this has been the case.

Lol @ MCW making it and the Raptors getting two All-Stars with barely a .500 record. Is this a joke?

I like that you have Dirk in the West though. And it’s a damn shame that Dragic won’t get on the squad. With the way the Suns have overachieved I wish they could get at least one All-Star.

Paul Millsap would be a deserved selection but I wonder if his old Utah running mate Al Jefferson may finally get a nod, he’s been a consistent NBA player putting up to near 20ppg for the last 7 or 8 seasons.

I fully agree that LMA and Cousins should get in, I wonder if Bosh or D-Wade might get another nod given their career records especially as the Brooklyn old guard don’t get in.

Davis is the interesting one as if we agree that LMA finally makes it, K-Love gets picked again plus Cousins gets in through weight of scoring, it then maybe comes down to Dirk and Davis for final frontcourt spot out West. Davis will get votes especially as a homecourt player on the up but Dirk’s standing will get him a lot of votes especially with Tim Duncan not getting in.

althought MCW is having a sensational rookie campaign i agree with many of the posters..i dont think he will make it this year..he will be an all star someday but its not his time yet. I guess i could see him making it if phili had a great record but they arnt very good. Lance makes it IMO and if he dosnt then thats a shame

you know what i think his lists and the guys who might get left off is very close to what the rosters will actually look like. I have to be rational though when does all-star voting get a stronger correlation with the (All NBA Team)? To me certain players are starting to get too much consideration from being a whose who of high picks from the past and most captivating players. i still think winning should hold some weight. Am i really in the minority for thinking this way?

Look MCW is putting up numbers but can everyone who visits this link go and look at his numbers. less than 2-1 assists to turnover ratio. barely over 40%shooting. less than 30% on 3point shooting. His team is at the bottom of his division and one of the 5 worst teams in the league. Am i saying he will not be in the top 2 for voting of ROY and i am not, but he shouldnt even be considered for an all-star spot. Neither should D.Cousins who based on his position is putting up good numbers with solid percentages. D.Cousins’s team is in the 5 worst teams as well.I know this will come as nails on a chalkboard to you guy’s ears but when do we hold Kyrie Irving accountable as well? Atleast K.Love always has his team formidable in the(WEST) at that. Can Kyrie atleast get his team into the top 8 of the standings?

So like i said TaylorCondrin can we give  respect towards winning? Lets appreciate J.Teague for helping keep the hawks in the playoff standings, and C.Bosh for accepting a lesser role and contributing on a winning team as the Miami Heat are.Thats just the EAST.

In the West come on Can David Lee, Lawson, and Dragic gets some consideration above Cousins? I think Cousins is a dominant player but an all-star has to have some criteria based on winning in my opinion.

I think mostly everyone here has made a valid case for their picks, but it is important to remember that because of the Suns record, they will likely get an All-Star. MCW over Lance and maybe even Affalo is hard for me to digest.
