I know the Cavs are rejuvenated and have been playing good ball lately but this is Lebrons last season as a Cav. 95% sure. LeBron does not have the greatest relationship with Dan Gilbert and very much dosent agree with some of his front office changes and roster moves. The writing is on the wall. Dan got some key young pieces at the trade deadline and kept the Brooklyn pick which at worst is Trae young or Mohammed Bamba to give them a nice young nucleus going forward. LeBron already accomplished what he came back to Cleveland for and that’s win a Title. And Cleveland is not winning any more titles soon. Just being honest.

The 1st team LeBron goes to is Houston. There will be takers for Trevor, EG and Ryan to make room for LeBron. LeBron and Cp3 Take pay cuts along with Melo to create a new super team. Melo and Cp3 get their final chance at a ring while getting to play with LeBron in a Mike D’antoni offense.

Or LeBron goes to the Lakers which I believe LeBron will Finnish his career as a Laker even if he makes a 1-2 yr stop in Houston. Now we seen LeBron get more involved with the media and his Opinions from Politics, today’s youth, national and global events. You can almost see LeBron being a very powerful figure when he is done with basketball. What better place to kick start life after Basketball then LA.

It all comes down to chasing 1 more ring or preparing for life after basketball. Thoughts?

I agree that this is most likely Lebron’s last season in Cleveland.  Give the guy credit though, he did come home after breaking everybody’s heart with the "decision" and "taking his talents to south beach."  I cringe everytime I say or read that.  He did bring Cleveland a title and ended one of the most miserable sports cities in the countries title drought.  I’d agree Houston would be on his list of places he’d possibly go.

Cleveland was amongst the worst franchises in the NBA when Lebron was entering the league. They had the ugliest uniforms in the league in one of the smallest markets, they had missed the playoffs 5 seasons in a row, rebuilding around guys like Ricky Davis, Drew Gooden, Chris Mihm and Big Z, they were bad. Lebron made them a playoff team but that didnt fix the management side of things. They are a poorly ran franchise and it will become more than evident when Lebron does leave whether its this year or through retirement. They truly were blessed to have drafted him in the first place and Im sure the one lesson athletes should gain from Lebron’s career should be not to be indebted to your home town. Lebron gave his best years to the city of Cleveland and its fans yet he was born and raised in Akron.

If I am LeBron I think I wait and see — see what happens with that lotto pick.

If I go to the Lakers I wanna join Klay Thompson and Anthony Davis, too, not just a bunch of young kids.

This offseason for the Cavs and Lebron will either go one of 3 ways:

The Cavs do enough to keep him happy-Re-up new pieces,Draft the right propsect for their needs(using nets pick),Gilbert and Lebron make some concessions-Gilbert in letting Lebron have has way and Lebron commiting long term to the Cavs…Making Cavs fans and the NBA very happy.

The Cavs at least convince Lebron to keep doing the 1+1 deals until both sides are happy to part ways with no-one being upset and lebron is free to ring chase with whatever team he wants to finish up with…

    Or

Lebron goes to the team that he wants to finish career with-Houston and they form Team banna boat(as most are there or can go there),Lakers if he wants Magic to mentor him on the running of a franchise or the lifestyle. Or a wild card team that no-one sees coming that can get all the players he desires- For example Phoenix. The risk with this move as it may slightly tarnish his reputation/legacy as he is bailing again especially with the Cavs making some moves at the deadline to try keep him happy/make up for the Kyrie trade the wasn’t intially that great..

As for Clevland not winning any titles/anytime soon.. They have better chance of coming out of the East than most West teams right now so if they got the right match up they could do it as could the warriors losing not making it out of the West..Think when Clevland bet Detroit to make the finals..No one had them coming out then either.

Also not a Cavs or Lebron fan so I am unbiased about whatever he does/chooses to do.

LBJ in Houston would be fun but how they’d work ball handling with Harden and CP3 I don’t know. It would give a team that could realistically run against GSW and Harden would prolong LBJ’s title window.

LBJ could fancy being a Laker but if he really wanted to do something different might Knicks appeal to him as bringing a title to Lakers would make him one of many, going to a team who hasn’t won for a long time and winning with them cements his greatness.

Philly would be my wildcard, they have cap space, young players, possible further high picks, he could stay out East and have an extended title window.

Also think he should go to the Spurs or the Rockets.. But if the Rockets win this year, it would be a really really bad look to join a championship team like KD.. And then let’s say Kawhi wants out of SA or his health is still questionable, then Im not sure Lebron would be going there.. So now what does he do if CLE doesn’t play well in the playoffs and can’t reach the finals ? That’s an interesting summer for Lebron that’s for sure.

Call me crazy but for some reason I feel like Miami could still be in play.

I do agree that the writing is on the wall in Cleveland, and that Lebron is leaving this offseason, all though it won’t be to the Rockets. Lebron knows the Cavs aren’t getting past round 2 in the playoffs, but before he decides which team he is going to, he will probably look at all his options before he decides. I wouldn’t say his number 1 option is the Rockets, nor is his #2 option the Lakers. If you look at where Lebron has chosen to go in the past, its always to a team that hasn’t won a championship recently (when lebron went to the Heat, the Heat last won the title in 2006, I believe) but still had a good core of a team with Dwade) He likes to build the team a little bit, show his GM skills. (he did this in both Miami and his return to Cleveland) He also would rather guage what other free agents ideas are. See where he can best bring another championship to a team.

The Rockets could very well win it all this year without Lebron. Which means they would most certainly do so with him, and it would be easier for Lebron to bring a championship to Houston (probably again) He wants more of a challenge, even if he’s a veteran.

There is a variety of teams I see Lebron going to next year. In no particular order, I have it as Lakers, Sixers, Spurs, Heat, Clippers (more credence going to Spurs, Sixers, and Heat) The bananna boat that many people are talking about in the media, was just a fun thing that Lebron did with his best friends in the league during the offseason one year. It has little chance of coming true, but media would love to bring it to fruition, because it would sell. Will it happen, probably not. To me its a fantasy.

I also think this will be Lebron’s last move before he retires.  He will go someplace to start to cement his legacy. After he retires in 2022 or 2023 we could see him pursue a job as a GM or assistant GM somewhere, which would only further cement his legacy. (much like MJ is now with the Hornets, but he might do a better job than MJ has so far)

Golden State.  It only if he can get Anthony Davis, the Greek Freak, 1998 era Shaq, and James Jones to join him there along with Durant, Klay, Steph and Green.

Otherwise, Houston with Harden, Paul, PG3, Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins, 1978 era Kareem and Shane Battier.

If he goes to Houston he probably gets to the Western conference finals and has to overthrow the Warriors

If he signs with the 76ers they get all the way to the Finals and meet up with the Warriors with a tall lineup of Simmons/Embiid/Fultz/Covington/Saric

If I were LeBron I’d sign with Philly, Embiid would unstoppable and Ben would dominate Steph on the block, LeBron would get his easily because the Dubs can’t leave Embiid/Saric/Covington or JJ Reddick open, Fultz would be a 6th man and the draft picks owned by Philadelphia could get plenty of help via Trade
