Now that the draft is set, what are some potential moves you see? I see Cavs swapping with Warriors. Cavs need a scorer, and if Barnes is gone at 4, I think they will pass on Gilchrist.warriors on the other hand, need both a 3 and a defensive/hustle type player that MKG is. Cavs trade #4 pick, Warriors trade #7 pick, #32 pick and/or SF Wright. Cavs pick Kyrie a backcourt mate amongst Beal, Lamb, and Ross. Wright can spread the floor with his 3 point shooting (he isn’t a FA is he?), and can add a prospect with the 32 pick like Draymond Green, Fab Melo, Kris Middleton, Quincy Miller, Robert Sacre, etc. Warriors, mentioned above, fills all their needs. We know he plays tough D, hustles hard, and for bring such a high pick, he’s doesn’t have to be counted on as a scorer just yet. This is a deal that makes so much sense for Golden State, Cleveland can get them to throw in their #35 pick as well. In this draft, they can find good protects with those late picks.

The only thing I can think of is Charlotte trading pick #2 to the Trailblazers for picks #6 + #11. Charlotte gets an influx of young talent while the Blazers get an impact player.

Why would Cleveland want to trade down for a less-rated wing and pick up the 32nd pick? You do know the Cavs already own the 33rd and 34th pick in this draft, right? So there’s going to be a prospect at 32 that the Cavs rave over that wont be there at #33-34? No.

I do look for Cleveland to be active, however, they wont touch the trade you mentioned. Cleveland doesn’t have many players outside of Varejao that would have any value whatsoever, but owning 4 picks in this draft, Kings 1st rounder, 2 future Heat 1st rounders, they could probably package something together to move up a bit from #24.

I think Detroit could possibly move down to grab  Fab Melo, Hensom, Zeller, or Moutrie.  The could move down and get two of Houston’s picks and have a better shot to find the big man they need to put next to Monroe.  Detroit is not that far from bouncing back.

    Knight

    Stuckney/Gordon

    Prince

    ?????

    Monroe

Monroe can be the 4 or 5 depending on who you grab but I think it would be wise to grab an athlete and possibly and solid defender.

Portland trades Wes Matthews and the 11 pick for Joakim Noah.  Portland drafts a guard at 6, and gets Noah to protect the paint and allow Aldridge protection from guarding the best post opponent.  Bulls start to rebuild around Rose’s return from injury and resign Asik to start at center.

I’d love to see the Wizards trade that third pick for Portland’s two picks and try to pick up Terrence Ross and Jeremy Lamb.

In one fell swoop you have a SG and SF for the future who are both extremely long and athletic and allow Crawford to come off the bench as a 6th man.

    PG – Wall

    SG – Lamb

    SF – Ross

    PF – Vesely

    C – Nene

    6th man – Crawford

That core group is ridiculously long and athletic, when you add Singleton and Seraphin off the bench, that team could take that Indiana leap into a 2-4 seed in the East within 3 years.

As much as I like Drummond, if Barnes is off the board (which I think is likely) they need wing scorers to pair with Wall a lot more.

Portland would be able to select Drummond to pair with Oden, and the Wizards could throw in Crawford if it would get the job done.

One thing that might happen is 6+11 for the 2nd, but not sure what either team wants to do right now.

A trade that sends Kyle Lowry to the Raptors for the 8th + Ed Davis (then Rockets re sign Goron)
