    Lebron and Melo to Philly?

I’m an idea guy you guys are better at number crunching than me.

Lebron and Melo get to play together, and unlike Miami, we are a REAL NBA-city (as evidenced by the contributions on this site), with real fans who actually care.

Sixers sign Lebron and Melo in FA.

Sixers take either Dante Exum, Wiggins, or Vonleh at #3, and James Young, McDermott, or Stauskas at #10.

    Possible Starting 5.

    MCW, Wiggins, James, Anthony, Noel.

    MCW, Exum, James, Anthony, Noel.

    MCW, James, Carmelo, Vonleh, Noel.

James and Melo leading the ship with 3 young, coachable, athletic, high-flyers in a GREAT basketball city.

If I was Lebron I’d think about it over playing with old-man-Wade.  Been there done that in Miami.

and I am not delusional enough to think that this would ever happen. Neither player is coming to Philadelphia when they have far better basketball options to choose from currently.

Never going to happen, I think we have a better chance of seeing sharks walking on land before this happens, sorry.

If it was 2016 we might have a pitch with these rookies being developed but at this point they are in win now mode, and can’t bank on unproven young guys….I too dream a championship! LOL

Obviously I am throwing it out there.

For Carmelo the only better option for him is Chicago in my opinion.  He needs Thibodeau and a defensive minded team.

Houston to me, they are not contedners.  Harden got exposed with his lack of defense.  Harden, Anthony, and Dwight Howard is not a winning trio.  Dwight Howard had the ideal situation in Orlando where it centered around him and he was surroudned by shooters.

In Houston the offense runs through Harden, just like it did with Kobe in LA, and that doesn’t work well with Howard unless he feels like Shaq he isn’t in his prime and is ready to hand over the reins.  I just don’t think Lin, Howard, Harden, and Melo wins you a chip.  None of those guys have that championship desire.

For James, if he considers Cleveland (where he can’t play with melo), wouldn’t Philly be as enticing?

James, Kyrie, Varejao, Dion Waiters, and Embiid – sounds to me like the old Cavs all over again.

James, Carmelo, MCW, Noel, and Exum or Wiggins?  – I like that starting 5 A LOT better.  And James is a smart basketball guy.  He is a facilitator, would love having his boy and another star in his prime with him.

    Carmelo over Kyrie?  Seriously?

I like were this tread was going but just like other nba teams that money wise could bring those 2 together with young players, its just not Lebron or Melos perfered destination, thats fact and the best reason why this idea aint gonna work.

It’s a nice thought, but ultimately, I don’t think Lebron wants his career legacy to be that of a mercenary, bouncing from team to team in his prime.

He’s either staying in Miami or going back to Clev, and even going back I think is a minute possibility.
