Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantWhich of these players who are roughly the same age and put up pretty similar numbers would you prefer and why?
Kemba Walker vs. Isiah Thomas
DeMar DeRozan vs Jimmy Butler
Chandler Parsons vs. Nicolas Batum
Derrick Favors vs. Serge Ibaka
Nicola Vucevic vs. Enes Kanter

aktripleParticipantIsiah because he is a more complete player (i do still love me some kemba tho)
Butler because he is a strong two way player and has more extended range than derozan
Batum because he is more than a scorer and rebounder and is a far more versatile than parsons
Favors because i believe he has more upside to ibaka and could be an all star sometime soon
Vucevic simply because kanter is a terrible defensive player

mamadouParticipantLike he said.
Kemba is a gamer, but before batum he was a hell of an inefficient chucker 5 assists PG.
Ibaka was way better 3 years ago, now it’s overrated D(as usual for the weakside shot blockers), very poor IQ, no post game, poor rebounder, less shot blocking, never goes to the line, in one word…soft, he must be 30, Favors is still and really 24…
Kanter is a terrible defensive player, vucevic is only bad, better IQ, Vucevic was averaging 21-8, 62% FG as a sub, maybe an idea for the draft, the running bigman Poeltl, they could play PF-C to each other…same with Monroe and the bucks, addition by substraction.

ExumInfernoParticipantThomas, Butler, Parsons, Ibaka, Vucevic.
Kanter is a terrible person to have on a team, doesn’t pass, doesn’t defend, doesn’t seem like other players want to be on the same court as him. Vucevic works hard on the court, at both ends. There may not be anything that Kanter does better, although he is close in rebounding.
Ibaka, more blocks and more range on his shots.
Parsons and Batum was close, and both have been injured a bit. Both can do everything for their teams, play several positions, but maybe Parsons can turn it on offensively when his team needs scoring. Butler is bigger and better, more range, he does more. Thomas was someone who fought his way to the top, after barely getting drafted, while Walker has been a high pick on many bad Charlotte teams with his bad shooting. Walker has improved recently, but Thomas for his career has much better percentages. Walker has caught up with his shooting, but maybe he can’t keep it up, as this is his only solid season shooting from outside.

ZouldiersParticipantKemba over Isaiah- Win with Walker and has done more to Charlotte than Thomas to Boston since Boston is deep.
Butler over DeRozan- More of a two-way player than DeRozan
Batum over Parsons- Can guard multiple positions and as said above more versatile than Parsons
Favors over Ibaka- Has more of an offensive game than Ibaka
Vucevic over Kanter-He is more of a threat offensively than Kanter.0 - Posted on: Tue, 04/12/2016 - 9:32pm #1054199

Mr. HookShotParticipantKemba Walker vs. Isiah Thomas – I actually like both players, but believe Walker brings more on the defensive end of the floor.
DeMar DeRozan vs Jimmy Butler – No brainer actually; both the better defender and the better offensive player.
Chandler Parsons vs. Nicolas Batum – Both team players, but Batum brings more versatility and consistency than Parsons. Batum is one of those players who you can put on the field with about anyone.
Derrick Favors vs. Serge Ibaka – Depending a little bit on what you want, as Favors has more upside and is defensively more sound imo than Ibaka, who has more range and is a better weak-side defender. So a tie for me 😉
Nic Vucevic vs. Enes Kanter – Kanter is good offensively, but lacks the effort on defense. Vucevic at least gives everything on both sides of the floor, is a smart player and despite is limited athleticism a solid defender so he’s my pick.

Hype MachineKemba – Highly underrated
Butler – Gets the edge on defense and ability to spread the floor
Batum – More versatile.
Ibaka – Was close though
Kanter – Naah I’m just clowning. Having watched that piece of trash disrespect the sport of basketball for several years in Utah, I’d honestly rather have Cameron Bairstow on the roster.

BiggysmallsParticipantKemba
Butler/Derozan is tough. I’ll take Butler as a No. 2 guy but if he’s the top scoring option, his defense takes a huge hit. Derozan can’t shoot, but he’s still an offensive machine. I’ll go with Derozan.
Batum – Feel like Parsons at his best is better, but he’s been hurt so much.
Favors – odd that Ibaka is only 26, but yeah I don’t know what happened to him. Big that fell in love with a jumper and now doesnt do any work inside. His starting PG averages more rebounds than he does, and he shoots less than 2 FTs per game. I’d take him on the Wolves, but I’d take Favors first.
Vucevic – He’s really inefficient, but I wonder if that is more a product of poor guard play and spacing around him. Don’t watch enough ORlando basketball but he’s better than Kanter for sure.
