Porzingis upside summed up in :48 seconds

In Latvia's recent FIBA win over Serbia, Porzingis showed again why he has the upside to be a top 5 player in the league.

In the span of :48 seconds, Porzingis blocked a shot resulting in a change of possession. Then he promptly ran the floor and on a beautiful pick and pop he swished a 3 pointer. On the next defensive possession, he blocked another shot leading to another break. He set up on the wing outside of the 3pt line, and this time when he received the ball he faked the 3 pointer and drove into the lane for a dunk.

Such a freak player for his size.

I love what I see outta Kristaps BUT

I'd never want to build around a player over 7'2

He is one bad landing away from seriously injuring himself and the taller you are the more likely you are to wreck yourself

Id love to wrong and he stays healthy his entire career but he's just too damm risky to build around IMO

Funny thing is -- Lauri

Funny thing is -- Lauri Markkanen has been playing much better than Porzingis so far, but everybody's still getting hyped about Kristaps. I mean, he showed he can dunk, block shots, and shoot threes in his very first season. By now, what is surprising about that?

Yep. Porzingis doesn't have

Yep. Porzingis doesn't have as much upside as KAT, Embiid, or Jokic. His upside is a slightly more athletic Dirk (still not better than Duncan, Malone, or Garnett)

Embiid's upside is David Robinson with a 3 point shot (Goat?)

Yeah, a slightly more

Yeah, a slightly more athletic Dirk... Not quite on Jokic level, really!

Embiid's upside is incredible, but let's be realistic, I see him more as David Robinson with crutches.
