TC_42Participanthttp://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm I just saw on hoopshype that Portland is looking to move some of their older players for some youth in order to start a kind of rebuilding after injuries have devastated the franchise. The blurb says that some prime candidates for trades are Andre Miller, Camby, and Przybilla. Is it the right time or the right move to start trading their players away? When can you see these guys ending up? I’d love to see Camby go to the Thunder. He’d contribute immediately to their hole in the middle and could mentor Aldrich. The Thunder missed their chance to nab him last year, so maybe they will get it right this time around. He’s only under contract for next year, so it wouldn’t be a make or break move.

joecheck88Participantif portland could get maynor for camby, i would do it. portland needs a real point guard and i dont know if patty mills and armon johnson are the answer. its not really a fire sale because they will still have their core of matthews, roy, aldridge, and batum. the only problem is not knowing how much roy will be able to contribute in the future.

bdoody42Participantmaynor for camby… This sounds okay maybe, but if I was the Blazers I would ask for much more. Camby is a very good defensive center. He is good shotblocker and on ball defender. many teams are looking for a guy like this. Alos Pryzbilla and Oden always have injury issues.. Camby is someone half the teams in the NBA would like to have. Getting Maynor who has proved nothing beyond a capable backup is pretty stupid id say.

JoeWolf1OKC has Pliess, Mullins and Aldrich if they wanted Camby. They could afford to ship a young big they’re not using if they want a guy like Camby who will have more of an impact now.

paint intruderParticipantMaybe it wouldn’t be too smart to trade all those players because they all play important roles on that team and I doubt that they would get players who are in their primes for them, so trading them would equal a rebuild to a certain extend. And they’d be left without a capable center and point guard.

Miller on the block, Charlotte or Detroit needs to step in and get him
Camby on the block, OKC needs to get him
Pryzbilla on the block, New York needs to get him.

sheltwon3ParticipantPortland has a lot of young solid pieces and they should make some moves and shore up their future since Roy is not able to be 100 percent. Those 3 players can get some young talent and picks and they will still have solid pieces left.
They are set with Batum, Mathews, Alridge and maybe Roy if he can stay healthy. they only would need to get a younger Center and also get a young point guard like Maynor who should be starting for some team but is on a deap OKC team with Westbrook playing outstanding.
Also just wanted to give props to DeAndre Jordan who is playing pretty good for the Clippers and is showing that he should not have been a 2nd round pick.

dmo21ParticipantMiller and Rudy for Diaw and a 1st rounder.
Diaw, Maynor, Krstic, and picks(CHA) to Portland; Miller, Fernandez, and Peterson to Charlotte; Camby and Najera to Oklahoma City.

IndianaBasketballParticipantDeAndre Jordan would go very late first or early second if the draft were re-done today.
He’s played with energy, defended and rebounded well here and there this season, but he just hasn’t been consistent. He’s getting a little better on his defensive rotations, but he still has a ways to go. He’s only 22 and still has time to improve, but he’s a backup center at best.
He’s never going to be good offensively. His hands aren’t good and other than dunks, he has no offensive game. Very poor free-throw shooter too.

sheltwon3Participantbig man are a premium and I think he goes 14 through 20 at least. Mullens was drafted around that time and Cole Aldrich who has yet to show anything was drafted like 11.
