Lotto StudParticipantWho is better Kevin Durant or LeBron James
No explanation is needed! A simple KD, LBJ or The King will do just fine.

IndianaBasketballParticipantQuick question… Other than shoot, what does KD do better than LeBron?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 10/03/2011 - 2:31pm #602562
llperezlebron. Its not hard to imagine kd passing him, but he hasnt done it yet.

B-ball fanParticipantDurant shoots better and moves better without the ball, but LBJ is superior at every other major basketball ability.

IndianaBasketballParticipantDurant isn’t better than LeBron… That’s clear. But I damn near feel like it could be easier to play with Durant due to the fact he doesn’t have to dominate the ball and is harder to guard because his shooting makes him unpredicatable. He’s a threat all over the floor and you can’t foul him. Like Dirk, he’ll kill you from the line.
As soon as he develops a real post game and starts seeing the floor better, it’s a wrap. He won’t have to be the overall player that LeBron is to be considered the better player I feel.
Right now… It’s LeBron though.

Hi its BenParticipantlol IndianaBasketball you really couldnt hold it in could you?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 10/03/2011 - 2:58pm #602567
IndianaBasketballParticipantLol nope… I mean, because despite the fact LeBron is damn near physically superior in every way and can do a lot of things KD can’t, KD still has the chance to be better due to the fact he looks like he’ll develop a 100% complete offensive game.
IF LeBron had a complete game, he’d be the best player the league has ever seen.

akhan786ParticipantNah but seriously Lebron is the better of the two…
But I’d just like to remind everyone that KD has only been in the league for a couple years…and he’s getting better every season.

apb540ParticipantHe doesn’t play better within a team. Sure, LeBron will take a 20 win team to 45 while KD maybe only 38, but Kevin Durant simply understands how to play within a team better. One needs the ball in his hands to do anything while the other doesn’t need to. Dude’s 6-10 and comes off screens like Ray Allen. Team player.
Basically, LeBron James and Russell Westbrook both need to learn how to make their offenses mesh better and it will be Thunder-Heat for a few years.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 10/03/2011 - 8:55pm #602607
OhCanada-ParticipantLebron James is better for now although I honestly believe Durants style is better suited for traditional 5 on 5 basketball.

0 - Posted on: Mon, 10/03/2011 - 10:20pm #602613
RUDEBOY_ParticipantWhy is This Even a Question?
I Love the fact that Durant doesnt have to control the ball to Dominate a game..I think Durant,Kobe and Melo are the 3 best players, when it comes to being creative offensively…But Lebron is the Superior player…Lebron’s court vision is on par with guys like Magic and Bird….Durant’s scoring prowness is in the same class as Gervin & McGrady..

MagikKnickParticipantIm shocked this is so even, i think its easily Lebron, and i can’t stand that man
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/04/2011 - 4:59am #602623
ilike.panochasParticipantLebron, one of the most gifted passing SF ever, takes the assignment of defending the opposing team’s best offensive player, yet he is less of a team player than Durant? Lebron makes his teammates better than Durant can.
Lebron is the better player.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/04/2011 - 5:21am #602625
IndianaBasketballParticipantI’m still wondering why LeBron didn’t defend Dirk in the Finals… Other than a couple of switches here and there, he was never given that assignment once.
LeBron is a great team player and is a great teammate, and can individually makes his teammates better than Durant can, but LeBron’s offensive style puts a strain on the offense. He has no off of the ball game and really just stands there when the ball isn’t in his hands. No real post game, which prevents him from drawing doubles and using his court vision to open up the offense. No reliable jumpshot. Everything with LeBron is off of the dribble.

WizardofOzParticipantBefore last season, I would’ve taken LeBron, but at the rate he’s declining at, I gotta go with KD right now.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/04/2011 - 6:56am #602638
mikeyvthedonParticipantHe has to decline quite a bit more before KD passes him. Durant may be the better shooter, as everyone has pointed out, but I do not care how much people think LeBron has lost athletically, he is a different world than Kevin Durant in that aspect. Even if one believes that Durant has the athletic edge (though, I would like to know what argument one would use), LeBron still has 50 pounds on the guy, and it is not bad weight. LeBron has been durable and even though people complain about his lack of production in the post-season, Kevin Durant had many of the same issues, especially with him getting thrown around against Memphis and Dallas. Kevin Durant is a great player, but LeBron James is still better in my opinion and I think the margin is still pretty considerable between the two.

apb540ParticipantTim Duncan shouldn’t even be on top 35 lists anymore. Did u watch him trying to defend Gasol and Randolph against Memphis? Dude has lost all of his quickness and athleticism unless he had some injury no one knew about.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/04/2011 - 8:57am #602654
kobyzParticipantin the playoff he arrive in bad shape like all Spurs, but he still was the best player on a team that finish first in the west, i think he still can contribute to a championship team, just not as franchise player anymore only as a second option.

mikeyvthedonParticipantLeBron James: 20 (I counted Kobyz list as saying he at least felt LeBron was better than Durant)
Kevin Durant: 5
Not unanimous, but an 80% consensus seem to feel LeBron James is the better player. Durant has been excellent in his first 4 years in the league, but if you look at LeBron during the same period, plus look at his All-Around game, I feel he is definitely the better player. You can hate him or dislike him, but he is an amazing basketball player and seems to be considered by many the best player in the league at this current point in time.
