God these playoffs have been such a clusterfudge, and it’s not even because of how good the Cavs and Warriors are. The Spurs-Warriors series went from potentially being super-competitive to something there’s no reason to watch. The Celtics losing Isaiah Thomas has killed all the intrigue there could’ve been.

The good news is that the Euroleague finals and 3rd place game are today, I honeslty recommend watching them over the NBA playoffs, a lot more competitive and fun. Lot’s of future and past NBA talent on the teams.  Fenerbahce are my pick to win it all,

Players to keep an eye on:

Fenerbahce: Ekpe Udoh and Jan Vesely are much improved from their NBA days and Bogdan Bodganovic is an NBA level player.

Olimpiacos: mostly a team of Euroleague veterans, but has some NBA draft picks on the roster too (Erick Green, Nikola Milutinov).

CSKA: best one-two punch in Europe in Teodosic and De Colo, both had a forgetable semifinals game, but are candidates to come over into the NBA next year.

Real Madrid: probably the most talented team in the league, had problems playing as a team in the semifinals and settled for many ISOs and low-percentage shots, but many NBA-level players: Ayon, Llull, Doncic, A. Randolph.

Check out one of the reasons why the Kings/Suns draft day deal was made. Ignorant Kings-bashing media don’t even know who Bogdanovic is, but they will

Bogdan doesn’t seem to be too eager to come over to the Kings though, has reportedly decided against joining them for the 2017-2018 season.

I don’t think he’s said for sure that he won’t be coming next year, just that he has an option in Europe for next year and he won’t talk about his decision until after the Europe season

He wants to play in the NBA though and he will have to go to the Kings if he does

feel bad for I.T. but the Celtics had no chance of winning 1 game in this series after the first half of game 2. Even if he had’nt reinjured himself.

The Leonard injury was terrible for the NBA as the Spurs were fully engaged until it happenned and could have easily made aseries out of it if nothing else.

Pachulia should be detained abroad and never aloud to step under foot on NBA hardwood again.

Euroleague is somewhat interesting , but it’s not even the same game really at this point.

I agree, but some of the Cleveland-Boston games could’ve at least been a little more watchable, Thomas can put up some exciting games.

The Euroleague really is a very different game, the level of competition certainly is lower, but it’s not as simple as that. Not all NBA role players can succeed in top European clubs, and many European players can be successful in exactly the same role they played for their team (Abrines, for example, wasn’t a role player in Europe and is a role player in the NBA). It’s not the CBA where any NBA scrub can go and dominate.

Still, it’s basketball, and, since I live in Russia, it’s the only basketball I get to see live.
