Jabari Parker- We know his game already. But what i learned from hearing him talk tells me: Hes a leader. He’s not gonna accept failure. He’s gonna change that whole Bucks franchise. Hes the type of guy thats gonna call out the best players on the team and have them listen and respect what he says. He’s gonna be a marketing star. Im not sure about Superstar but i’d bank on Star with many All-star selections. He’s gonna get better every year. Bucks fortunes have just changed for the better, they’re trending way up!

Aaron Gordon- Is gonna develop real nicely in Orlando. He’s gonna be a "lead by example" type player and leader. Will be a success there.

Dante Exum- I thought he’d be the biggest bust in this draft, now im not so sure. Jazz have a good track record of developing their players. He will fit nicely with Burke and the bigs there already. Its gonna take him sometime but i think he becomes a league average wing player. But i still dont think he becomes a star or plays point.

Julius Randle- Loved this guy since last year. So jealous of the Lakers right now. Will definitely be a star in LA. And most importantly, Kobe’s gonna love this guy, they’re gonna be great friends OR Brutal enemies. Both Alpha Males. LA has its next future star.

Nik Stauskas- Bust, by virtue of being drafted by the Kings. Sorry Nik

Vonleh- Bust, way underdevloped player drafted by a organization who has never developed a rookie (MKG still waiting on you). Lots of teams shyed away from him for a reason. The robust analytics on this guy went out the door once he got drafted to Charlotte. He made sense in theory for Charlotte but they haven’t a clue what to do with him.

McBuckets- I thought he’d be a solid bench player for his career. I think he ends up better than that with the Bulls. He’ll need to learn defensive scheme and he WILL because his coach is Thibs. Is gonna be a good one for Chicago.

Zach Lavine- Did a survey on this site asking who had the biggest Bust potential. And the overwhelming winner was this guy. He just got drafted by a team who never develops its players. And this guy was taken solely on his potential. He might stick around for a while cuz he’s a good athlete and they say he shoots it well But dont expect him to stay in Minny past his rookie deal, good thing for him in a way, he was angry when he knew he got drafted by Minnesota (side note:I emember Brandon Knight reacting the same way when he got drafted by the Pistons a few years ago, he only lasted a couple years there before being traded). Pure Bust.

Adrien Payne- Wasnt to big on him before the draft. But he got drafted by an up and coming organization and a great coach who knows how to use him in his offensive scheme. Payne is trending up.

Gary Harris- Really liked this guy. Im not sure what to think now that he’s in Denver. If i had to bet I still think he makes it as at least the 8th best guy on the team.

Mitch McGary- Contingent on his health being ok, this is an excellent spot for Mitch. OKC is among the best in the league at developing their players. He wont be rushed to produce for OKC which is a great thing for his development. He’ll be a great passing big man for them, something they dont hve right now. I Like Mitch a whole lot more now, based solely on the facts that OKC always get the most out of their rookies and Sam Presti is among the best draft experts in the league.

Shabazz Napier- still dont know how he fell to Miami at #24. He’s a leader, a champ, a natural floor leader… what else is there to say?? His stock is on the rise way high. He fits well with Miami’s professional culture. Truth is he would have been fine wherever he went, but its sweet for him to land in Miami and the Heatles.

Kyle Anderson- It blows my mind how perfect this fit is, Its amazing. Had he gone to any other of the 29 teams i would have labeled him a 100% bust. Kyle and Exum were my highest bust potential prospects going into the draft. This is almost to goos to be ture in a way. This guy is gonna fit beautifully with this Spurs offense,  im sure we can all picture it already. He will be allowed time to develop and eventually take over for Duncan at 4 when he retires. Plus he has that team-only mentality that the Spurs are all about. This has to be the best fit of any player chosen tonight. Im still shaking my head at how poetic this is.

Glenn RobinsonIII- I liked him but in Dysfunctional Minnesota im not so sure. If he isnt good in his rookie year than there’s no hope for him. The odds are against him, sadly.

I don’t get how you’re so negative about Exum’s chances. Even those that don’t rate him as a prospect believe he could be a solid rotation guy. You seem to not believe he will even stick in the league past a few seasons.

I think that Exum will prove you wrong. He IS a PG who can play off the ball if needed. At worst he will be a solid rotation guy, with a ceiling of an all star.

Just because he hasn’t been scouted as heavily as some of the other top guys doesn’t mean he can’t play or will be a bust.

How do you know he wont be a bust?Have you seen lots of games?

At this point, before summer league, your guess is as good as his.

Don’t agree with a few of your picks for busts and future workings out but I do agree with most of them.

I love that now both conferences have at least one with the athleticism of Griffin. With the actual Griffin in the West with the Clippers and now Gordon in the East with the Magic.

I am also ecstatic about seeing the future Penny Hardaway in Dante Exum, on my favorite team, the Jazz. Then they picked a very nice bench player and backup to Hayward, possible 6th man in Rodney Hood with the 23rd pick. At first I was not too excited about him and I thought his lack of D would hurt him in the league (and therefore I thought he would go 18th to the Suns, a team notorius for all offense and no defense, just how Hood plays. I thought that woud have been the perfect fit for them) but leading up to the draft I started to warm up to him, and now I am very happy he is with the Jazz as well. I find it funny and love that all along the Jazz wanted Jabari in this draft but instead we ended up with his college teammate. How’s that for suspence?

I find it fitting and typical that McDermott ends up in Chicago. I thought he would get selected by Denver at first, just no trade, then I decided to change it and put McDermott in Charlotte and Payton in Denver. I went with the popular pick instead for Charlotte and the surprise athletic pick for Denver. Was close McDermott went 11th instead of 9th and Payton went 10th instead of 11.) ( I also had the Magic selecting Payton at 12 for quite awhile, just no trade, but then changed it at the last minute in order to predict a trade that I thought might happen because of Cleveland’s notorius stupidity around draft night). Somehow I knew Chicago would pick a shooter with one of their picks. Thought Harris might slid to them at 16, he actually went 19th instead (dang, quite a slide that I don’t think anyone saw that coming) Then of course I change it and go for the popular pick Payne, and a PG for Rose insurance in Napier. McDermott in Chicago just seems to fit now that it has happened. Just like Mike Dunleavy did too.

Then Harris ends up going to Denver, now there’s a fit. I saw Denver picking him for quite awhile, but changed it at the last second when I heard they were shopping the pick for veteran’s and the rumored trade with Chicago which actually ended up happening.

I do think LaVine will bust in Minny. Typical pick for them.

I don’t like Stauskas being a bust and nor do I like the pick for the Kings, but I hope it works out for them. I like Stauskas, maybe he’s the better player than McLemore. Or maybe Stauskas is their 6th man off the bench and backup to McLemore. Still, not bad either way. But I don’t think he’s a bust like you seem to think.

I also don’t think Vonleh will bust. I love his work ethic and was very surprised he slid to 9th. I thought he would go 3rd or 4th. I don’t think Charlotte lost in this pick. They drafted Zeller last year who plays the same position as Vonleh. So if you are right and Vonleh does turn out to be a bust then the Hornets still have Zeller as well. Problem solved with McRoberts leaving. I think MJ capitalized on the Vonleh slide (which he probably didn’t think would happen) and now he has possibly a great combo down low in Jefferson and Vonleh. He may have taken a bit of a risk in taking Vonleh, numbers wise, but I still think MJ does not get the short end of the stick in the end because they still have Zeller incase Vonleh does end up busting like you predict.

I personally like Steven Adams better than McGary. I’m not quite McGary will develop properely because of his injury. I like him, but I hope he’s not the next Cole Aldrich but he may just end up turning out very similar to Aldrich in the end.

I also think Wiggins will turn out very good in Cleveland. For once Cleveland did the smart thing and drafted him Wiggins over Parker, and did not trade the pick. I hope he works out for them. Hopefully him Irving will become the future stars of this team. And maybe, just maybe this helps Irving to decide to stay in Cleveland to continue to help this team win more games and ultimately make the playoffs  (this year, and subsequent years) Not quite sure if they’ll contend in the future (certainly not this year) but its possible! Heck Wiggins could become Cleveland’s version of a poor man’s Lebron. I don’t think he will be even close to Lebron, certainly not a poor man’s Lebron, but hey Cleveland can dream, right? I think he turns out being closer to Tracy McGrady then Lebron.
