I like a lot of people like too know who in the draft classes are projecting too be solid roll players or franchising changing players but we need too be realistic as well it seems every year there are five or six players that this sure thinks will be franchise altering players and that’s not the case I’m curious though who you guys will alter there teams future and who they compare too and also who you think is getting to my hype and won’t be worthy of there projected pick range.

I would compare Dragan Bender to a college Andrew Bogut (by college I mean when he was extending his shooting range from the midrange out to the 3). Both are very smart and sometimes flashy passers, both show the ability to stretch the floor but not as a knockdown shooter and both have great rebounding instincts. Benders length should give him the ability to be a rim protector for his team but because of his limited minutes overseas I am not 100% sure on this much like some the other elements of his game.

I would love for someone to define what exactly "franchise altering" or "Franchise changing" is?

Because that can mean a lot of different things.

If by Franchice changing, you are expecting LeBron or Durant…then I don’t think this draft, or most drafts have it.

Andrew Wiggins was supposed to be Franchise altering player…the Wolves still stink. They may be getting better, but its not like Wiggins immediatly turned them into a respected or feared outfit.

Was Steph Curry technically a franchise altering player? It took Golden State a while to get this good. He’s been there for what – six or seven years? He didn’t alter that franchise himself. He’s obviously doing a lot of heavy lifting now, but that pick didn’t chance GS into a powerhouse alone.

So I guess what is Franchise Altering? To me, its all about what you expect from guys. The only guy I guess that I’d expect to come in and make a big impact on a team’s win/loss record day 1 would be Simmons at this point.

I think there are players guys in the draft that will be very good and impactful players, maybe even guys who get to an All-Star game — thought who the hell cares about that at this point, its all about fawning over has-beens apparently — but I don’t see guys that just automatically turn meh teams into something different.
