The pissed off thread

Post all the things that piss you off about basketball

I can not wait until Greg Oden has a full healthy season. I see all this retarded mess about how he should be traded for a top 10 pick and some even say he isnt worth that. YOU GUYS ARE OUT OF YOUR MINDS. This guy will be a top 5 center when he is healthy. He is going to flat out dominate when he gets healthy and he WILL eventually. To say he is a bust is just ignorant. The guy has had a very horrible run of injurys, but im sure you guys will forget all the stupid junk you said when he is finally healthy and proves to everyone that is a legit #1 pick.

Kobe

When he is retired i believe he will be a top 6 player maybe, but to say he is better than lebron makes me angry, 1st Kobe supporting cast is so superior to Lebrons,

Bigs- Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, Lamar Odom vs. Washed up Shaq, Anderson Varejao, and Washed up Big Z

Advantage- Kobe by far

Forwards - Ron Artest, Lamar Odom, Josh powell vs. Antawn jamison, JJ Hickson, Leon Powe

Advantage - Kobe slightly

Guards - Sasha Vujacic, Shannon Brown, Jordan Farmar, Derek Fisher vs. Boobie Gibson, Mo Williams, Delonte

Advantage - Push

Verdict - Obvious choice, Kobe's team could contend without him but would never win a title, Lebron's team top 5 pick in the draft

2nd

Kobe will win the titles argument when they are both done simply because Shaq carried the lakers to Kobes first titles, Overall title count should Kobe- 1 Lebron - 0

Sorry Tyrober, that's the

Sorry Tyrober, that's the same thing they said about Bowie, Bill Walton, Arvydas Sabonis, and so many other big men. Some big guys just can't stay healthy. I hope I'm wrong for your sake.... but I don't think I am.

its just as retarded to say

its just as retarded to say he WILL dominate. no one knows if he will continue to be hurt every year, which will stunt his development. so the people saying hes a bust now and the people saying he WILL dominate one day are in the same "OUT OF THERE MINDS" boat

Kobe is a better player than

Kobe is a better player than Lebron. Lebron still has holes in his game but Lebron is better physically and athletically but when it comes to skills and moves Kobe is lights year away.

If Oden can stay healthy he

If Oden can stay healthy he can be a flat out monster. But scouts knew coming out of college that he was damaged goods and had a degenerative bad knee and wanted no part of him.

Portland erred when they pasted on Kevin Durant and now will have to live with making another draft day boner that can rival passing on Michael Jordan to take Sam Bowie.

Two Hall of Fame mistakes..haters will deduct points from me for saying the truth but I am ok with that. It's true. Oden
just might need to be dealt to get a fresh start someplace else. Even that might not stop the injury issues.

Perhaps to the Knicks and rotate Aldridge and Pryzbilla at Center and bring back some pieces or another pick. You most certainly cannot max him out of pay him big money when his rookie deal is up next year.

We are having the same issues with Andrew Bogut in Milwaukee. I am sure the Lakers have deal with Andrew Bynum just like the Rockets have dealt with Yao Ming. Big men with bad feet, ankles, knees and then backs. Don't get mad at me...it's just the truth.

Some big guys cannot carry all that weight. Ask Eddy Curry and Erik Dampier. Unfortunate. But if he can reinvent his body and trim down he can be a good to great player defenisvely. He is still a kid like Bynum so there is still time. But they said the same thing about Jonathan Bender and Jermaine O'Neal too.

I will end this by saying something that will make you mad again...A LOT OF THESE KIDS SHOULD STAY IN SCHOOL and wait until their bodies are physically mature before they come into the NBA and stop chasing this paper and put your dream on hold...

Bynum, K.Brown, Bender, O'Neal, Oden, Livingston, Curry, Chandler...all high school or one and done kids...who can't stay healthy. Stop listening to these money hungry agents and look out for you.

Kobe

Kobe is still better than Lebron. Lebron didn't have a bad team. I think the Cavs have way more depth than the Lakers. After Lamar Odom it's a crap shoot and he is so inconsistent you never know when he will show up. Artest is also up and down and you never know if you are going to lose Bynum to an injury. I think for an 82 game season Lebron's numbers are going to continue to impress, but right now he's not on the same level at the end of games. All everyone talks about is that Lebron needs to have another superstar to win a title.

Now in my opinion the best player in the league is actually Dwayne Wade. He has absolutely nothing around him and that includes Beasley, but he still manages to get that team in the playoffs and compete. When he won the title he was playing with a bunch of veterans on their last leg and they beat a better Mavericks team, which still hasn't recovered from the loss. I think Wade gives you pretty much everything Lebron does, except he is more aggressive going to the rim and he's ridiculously clutch on the other end. He gives you everything Kobe does, minus the consistency shooting from 3, but as we all know Kobe can disappear for big stretches at a time. I don't think Wade would allow his team to lose if he had two big men that were dominating on both sides of the floor like Bynum and Gasol have done so far.

a few things 1) i hate how

a few things

1) i hate how NBA players look astonished whenever a foul is called on them

2) i hate how coaches play favorites when guys on the bench are better or more effective (i.e. thaddeus young coming off the bench with elton brand starting)

3) i hate how NBA front offices dont axe their coaches who cant win (don nelson for example, john kuester in detroit, and mike dunleavy for THE LONGEST TIME!!-thank god hes gone)

4) i hate how the big 3 consist of ray, paul and KG when rondo is 100x more important to that team than garnett

5) i hate how undominant andrew bynum is, 7'1'' 285 with a massive wingspan and he plays like 18 minutes a game

6) i hate how bad shelden williams is and he still has a roster spot somehow...

7) i hate how underappreciated brook lopez is

8) but most of all, i especially hate bill walton

that irrational (not all of

that irrational (not all of them, just some who have unrealistic expectations) new york knick fans think that they can sign and trade david lee to any team they want and get an all star in return (i've heard chris paul, tony parker, and chris bosh among others). david lee is a flippin' free agent! do you think that after they renounce his rights and say "hey thanks for dealing with a crappy team for 5 years but now we want to go get somebody better than you" he will feel any obligation to help the knicks acquire another player? as a free agent he can sign with any team he wants. irrational knick fans. that's what &$#%#&@! me off.

Tyler, You dont have a darn

Tyler,

You dont have a darn clue as to what you are saying in some of your rants here. Allow me to touch on some of them here.

You are obviously a young fan. Again, all of you will take points away from me like cowards because I call you out when you are wrong...but that is okay.

1) i hate how NBA players look astonished whenever a foul is called on them
First off a lot of times the calls are bad or inconsistent and it is not just they are mad a foul has been called but has not been called both ways.

2) i hate how coaches play favorites when guys on the bench are better or more effective (i.e. thaddeus young coming off the bench with elton brand starting)
Common sense should tell you that was not Eddie Jordan's call. Elton Brand played because HE MADE MORE MONEY and he was signed by the GM Stefanski. Secondly, Jordan had to win. You can't bench a $20 million dollar a year player.
Use your head...

3) i hate how NBA front offices dont axe their coaches who cant win (don nelson for example, john kuester in detroit, and mike dunleavy for THE LONGEST TIME!!-thank god hes gone)Don Nelson is the winningest coach in NBA history! And a lot of Mike Dunleavy's fault with the players quit on him (ie, Baron Davis) and got lazy. They also had major injuries. Now the Clippers might win the West next year with any luck or compete to, and they will do it all with Dunleavy's players!

4) i hate how the big 3 consist of ray, paul and KG when rondo is 100x more important to that team than garnett
You are insane! Paul Pierce is the man in Boston and Garnett is the true leader. It is Garnett who mentored and put up with Rondo's flakiness all along. Garnett is still the man. Take him out and Boston does not win jack crap with Rondo.
Don;'t inflate his value. He gets numbers because Garnett and Paul keep his man occupied.
5) i hate how undominant andrew bynum is, 7'1'' 285 with a massive wingspan and he plays like 18 minutes a game
Again, healthy this man is a beast! You are drunk. He is just not made for the Triangle. That is his problem. Put him in the East he is an All Star.

6) i hate how bad shelden williams is and he still has a roster spot somehow...

7) i hate how underappreciated brook lopez is

8) but most of all, i especially hate bill walton
Walton is hilarious and light hearted. He takes nothing real serious. After an injur plaqued career where if he was healthy he would have been talked about being the Best Center who ever lived (no kidding. You young cats never saw him play!) he is great. He could be real bitter but he is not. Take him for what he is...

taylor condrin, easy on

taylor condrin, easy on bynum. He avereged 15-8 and 2 blocks this year while fighting for 3rd option status. He is playing hurt right now and still got like 22 with 7 blocks last game. If he was healthy and on about 25 other teams, he would be getting 20-10 and be an all-star.

how dennis rodman wont be in

how dennis rodman wont be in the HOF when hes the just awesome

how people were riding the brandon jennings train in the first part of the season then jumped off the bandwagon

how people were calling bogut a bust before the season and now they're putting him in the top 5 (wait that doesn't piss me off, it makes me happy to see people change their minds to agree with me!!!)

how people judge rookies after one season and judge them for the rest of their careers

I hate that people say Lebron

I hate that people say Lebron is better than Kobe when Lebron hasn't won any titles, and people tend to forget Kobe brought a team that had Kwame Brown and Smush Parker starting, to the playoffs.

I hate that people say that Kobe is on Jordan's level. Do yourself a favour and rent some Jordan dvd's and see what an assassin this guy was in his day. Kobe is great, but Jordan was a freaking monster.

I hate how referees can dominate a game.

I hate the fact that there are barely any true centres left and the NBA is full of a bunch of shoot first PG's.

I hate the fact that ESPN covers the NBA. The worst sports website in the world.

I hate the fact that players don't truly love the game anymore, they don't work as hard to get better. It's all about money, doing movies, rapping, playing in big markets and only working hard when you are in a contract year.

Like was mentioned earlier, I hate when coaches play favourites.

how alley oops always make

how alley oops always make their way into the top ten assists... when you got a 6'8 with 3X vert all you have to do is throw it in an area above the rim and its going down, theres no way its a better assist then any left handed bouncer that Nash might throw. But because its LBJ or some other stud throwin it down it makes it a top ten assist.

OH and how koby had a very easy, very gentle 360 dunk (alone on the break) make it into the top ten dunks of the year??? come on.. im pretty sure the majority of the league could do that uncontested but ya dont see joey graham in the top ten
