Pierre Jackson

Lately, Jackson has been lighting it up in the D League scoring 58 in a game in the past week among other high scoring performances. Anybody see him as potentially being a Nate Robinson type player in the league one day? Both explosive, undersized scoring guards... I could see him carving a niche on a contender in the role of Nate Robinson. What do y'all think?

Jnderrated

An underrated aspect of Robinson is that he is a pretty decent on-ball defender. He uses his agility to keep up with players and is pretty damn strong and thick. Jackson isn't as big as Robinson, which might limit that a bit. Jackson should be called up, though.

actually

i think his defense and willingness to pass gives him a chance to be better than nate. If he was as tall as 6'1, he woulda been a lotto pick

Pierre Jackson is a better PG

Pierre Jackson is a better PG prospect than Nate Robinson. He's a better ball handler and distributer than Nate Robinson. Probably doesn't have the nasty athletism and killer instinct that Nate possesses. Unfortunately he can't get called up because his rights are owned by the Pelicans, for whatever reason the Pelicans have not signed him to a deal. Another team would need to trade for him, and i bet the Pelicans are asking for a Daryl Morey like offer for him.

Pierre Jackson is every bit as athletic as Nate Rob lol you better go watch some youtube! Only thing Nate has over Pierre in the athletic department is strength.

we all have players that we

we all have players that we like for whatever reasons that the majority of the people dont. I have always like Pierre since seeing him at Baylor. Perry just seemed so timid and a lot of the other players werent good or extremely imbalanced. the only really good player who had an aggressive mindset besides Pierre was Quincy.

I remember there was a thread here on who was worse, Pierre or Siva. these are good players...as evidenced by what they are doing in the pros. Pierre however I thought highly of, I thought he was better than Siva and worthy of a 1st round pick. I agree that he is a better PG prospect than Nate. I dont know if he is as explosive when it comes to taking over a game, but he is definitely more balanced overall and a guy that has some worth. Just dont know if the Pelicans are gonna use him.

Yes I said this a year ago.

Yes I said this a year ago.

"Add me to the club that is high on Pierre Jackson. He reminds me of Nate Robinson but he is more of a playmaker. He is ultra athletic which makes up for his lack of size. He should have a similar career to a Will Bynum and be a solid 6th man/backup point guard."

Pierre Should have been called up

He can't be 'called up' he has to be signed to a contract by the Pelicans, since he didn't accept the offer the Pelicans gave prior to the season. He's almost like a European Prospect who was drafted and stashed overseas.
