The Phoenix Suns pick
I have no clue about who the Suns will pick, but it certainly will be interesting. Everyone is assuming it will be a point guard, but that may not be the case. Please read my comments below.
1. The owner of the Suns virtually gave away 4-5 number one draft choices the past several years in an attempt to save money. I don't have the list in front of me, but there are some outstanding players in that group who should have been Phoenix Suns. If this happened in New York, it would have been front page news. But for some reason, Sarver's [is that his name] stupid draft day decisions went unreported year after year.
2. I just read an article in a Phoenix online newspaper about Gorin Dragic and how high the Suns are on him. Most of us don't realize how many changes foreign players must go through when trying to adjust to the NBA. One of those is learning a completely new language. Then you have to adapt to a totally different culture and learn how to function in our society. After all of the above, then you have to adjust to a brand new league and style of play. Sometimes I'm amazed any international player can succeed his first year. Apparently once Dragic started to make that adjustment, he really impressed Alvin Gentry.
In sum, it looks as if the Suns see Dragic as their point guard of the future, so one can guess their draft priorities are not a point guard. That's assuming Sarver doesn't give away another number one draft choice.
I agree that the Suns are really high on Dragic. But, I watched him play throughout the year as well. He was very unimpressive and he was actually a disapointment. I hope that the suns don't turn to him. We are doomed if they do. Yeah, Robert Sarver is his name.
Jackyboy6, if you read the article on Dragic, you may understand why he played so poorly his first year. It took him most of the first year to learn a new language, fit it into a new culture, and then adjust to the NBA. It was extremely hard for him and apparently Phoenix management believes his poor play was related to the above. They think he will be a vastly improved player this year and gave the impression their number one priority is not point guard.
By the way, why doesn't Sarver take the heat from Phoenix fans for literally giving away multiple number one draft choices? In any other town, the owner would be crucified for doing that once, let alone repeatedly.
I love the Suns so I hope they get Flynn and replace Dragic immediately. But I will be a realistic and say that they do really like Dragic and might not get Flynn because of that, bad move? Probably, but at least I will admit that, unlike clippers.
If i am the Suns....here is my plans.
Trade Stoudemire ( I have 2 deals )
Stoudemire, Tucker to Memphis for Conley, Arthur and 2nd overall pick. ( 2nd-Rubio, 14th-Mullens)
Stoudemire, Dudley to Golden State for Jackson, Randolph and 7th overall pick. (7th-Evans, 14th-Flynn)
if they dont trade him and just stay with the 14th pick, trade down, add more picks.
Trade to about 16 and take Teague.
Read Mock draft 3.1
The Suns need to either decide there spending money and upgrade there team or rebuild. And if they rebuild do they keep Amare and Barbosa? I would trade Nash (even though it would be a sad day) and Shaq. If I was Suns i would Pick Austin Daye. He is one amazing player I have seen him in person and he is amazing. A lack of Confidence and strength is the only thing that holds him back from puting up 30 points a game. His shot blocking skill and turn around jump shot (like Dirk Nowiztki) is top notch

Will the Suns pick a guy like Jonny Flynn, Jeff Teague, or Ty Lawson? Or will they pick a PF when Amare departs (not saying he is gone for sure)? Please post here. I really want some feedback on this subject.
