Philly making another deal with MN?
Does anyone think it'll be possible for Philly to try and make a deal with MN to clear cap space?
Philly gives MN, Brand and 2nd pick for Jefferson and 16 pick.
Philly gets rid of Brand's bad contract and get's a upgrade at PF. MN won't give up Jefferson and 4th pick for Brand and 2nd, so Philly takes the 16 pick and either drafts Ekpe Udoh and upgrades their front court or could take James Anderson to upgrade their SG depth.
Hawes, Jefferson, Young, Iggy, and Holiday.
MN would make this trade because they have cap space and can eat up Brands contract while they get their player to build around. It's not like they're going to get a big FA signing so might as well use the cap space to their ability. With the 4th pick the Wolves will be able to draft Cousins. Sounds like a nice young team for MN.
Cousins, Love, Brewer, Turner, Flynn
as a fan of the wolves I would love it but there is no way Philly would make the trade. It would show the fans that they are more concerned about a salary cap number two years from now because they make roughly the same dough. Jefferson and 4 for Dalembert and 2 would make more sense for both teams. Jefferson needs to play the 4 and Philly could still get Cousins. MN gets more athletic but gives up scoring in Jefferson.
But that Minn team looks pretty good the thing is I really dont see any 2 of the top 5 spot going to one team unless they really give up a lot of what they have to offer... I don't think they would do that trade because the don't have a player like Seattle did with Ray Allen to offer for a trade
that would be a terrible trade for the sixers because they would be giving up the chance of grabbing a franchise talent in Turner, Favors or Cousins, i would only make a trade wit Minny if they give us the 4th n 16th so we can atleast grab one of the bigmen and its becoming more of a possibility that Cousins wont last past 3 cuz of his high post skills.
I'm a wolves guy too. I think Jefferson is going to have a good season this up coming year. Jefferson is way better than Brand and Brand cost about 3 mil more.
Reason why I believe this is a good deal is because Jefferson fills the need for Philly, with a post player who is cheaper than brand. Yeah, Philly can still get Cousins but that means they still have a useless player in Brand that cost almost 15 mil.
This makes the trade as even as it gets, Wolves give up the better player in Jefferson for Brand and the 2nd pick. Wolves end up taking Brand's bad contact. Philly still has a mid first round draft pick, which isn't bad because they can still get a decent big man since this years draft is the draft of the BIGS.
2nd pick and Brand for Jefferson and 4th is the most lopsided trade ever, favoring Philly.
Wolves would give up a talented player along with taking up cap space?
Turner for the 4th/16th and 23rd or STFU....
