I have a feeling, if the Heat fails to win the title this year, they will try to pursuade Phil Jackson to coach the team. And Im not sure Jackson will have a choice but to accept it, seeing as it is another opportunity for him to coach another dynasty. I can already see this senario coming.

you might be right..this isnt as far-fetched as it seems…

Spoelstra it seems have let his star players run the team in the final minutes..they need someone like Phil who isnt afraid to get in their faces…

If the Heat lose, I can see Spoelstra getting replaced by a coach that will be respected by these superstars.

    How about Jerry Sloan?

Defensive guy, tough as nails, no bullshit additude. Personally I would love to see him coaching the Heat next season.

It isnt Spo’s fault that LeBron has disappeared and scored 8 points yesterday and it isn’t Spo’s fault that Dirk is playing better than anybody I have ever saw play. Just saying

Dudes need to chill out with the thumbs down, how can somebody have all them negatives while only like 3 people commented…Show some integrity people.

Anyways, it really isn’t that far fetched considering Riley does not want to coach anymore but I foresee Spo remaining the coach.  This series is far from over and Spo has already proven to be able to get his players over adversity.  Tho his offensive gameplans stink and if the Heat didn’t have freak athlete who can score in unique ways they would not of made it this far.

" …..And Im not sure Jackson will have a choice but to accept it"

lool dude has 11 rings, one of the greatest coaches of all time he doesn’t care about getting more rings at this point of his life. he just wants to relax and enjoy his late years. I wouldn’t be surprised if he comes back in a couple years since he loves the sport so much, but as of now i think pat riley has a higher chance of coaching the heat then phil jackson.

@BasketballGuru Lol yeah I thought that quote you put just showed some of the elitism and arrogance some Heat fans portray. Of course Jackson has a choice. He is the GOAT of coaches the Heat would be lucky if Jackson came back to coach for them.

One problem, Phil isn’t gonna work for Pat Riley,in any way shape or form.

i thinks it`s easier to see pat riley taking the teams head coaching job next year but only if they lose. if they win spoelstra will keep the job.

he’ll have no choice but to accept it? I honestly dont think phil has enough left in the tank to start another season ESPECIALLY with a brand new team

Phil is done. He’s conquered just about all a coach can. Plus the simple fact he wouldn’t work for Pat Riley.
