I think he's more of an

I think he's more of an athletic combo-forward rather than a pure scoring 2-guard like t-mac

i'd say closer to travis outlaw/anthony randolph

i didnt mean he'd play the two guard like tmac. ment like a small forward version of tmac at his very very best, but i doubt seriously he has the mental make up to ever reach that

I see him being a 12 ppg

I see him being a 12 ppg scorer who gets you 6 rpg, around 2 bpg and a steal as a Freshman at Baylor. He'll play both forward spots at Baylor, but he's more of a natural SF to me especially at the NBA level.

I see him as a Rudy Gay type of player, with 2 inches of height. He, like Gay, has the ability to be a top NBA scorer but he seems to lack the aggression and fire to ever truly reach his scoring potential. He should hover around 20 ppg though in the NBA at his best I'd say.

Based on what I've seen from

Based on what I've seen from him, I don't know if he will ever have the drive to be a big time scorer...I like his potential a lot, but there's a point where potential runs out of time. He's still young, let's see what happens at Baylor first before we get on his NBA ceiling. I'd hate to see another Jonothan bender experience...

Also not so sure he has the

Also not so sure he has the range that Rudy Gay has, he can really shoot the three when he's hot...but the rest of their games are very comparable...

I can see the Rudy Gay

I can see the Rudy Gay comparison, but he also reminds me of Tim Thomas when he was at Villanova.

Usually low motor guys stay

Usually low motor guys stay low motor... Total mentality changes almost never happen unless something significant happens like an injury or something, and that would only apply to aggressive players. He has the physical tools to be a beast, but he reminds me of Lamar Odom with the exception of Odom's playmaking ability.

Lots of upside

Jones has the potential to be one of the best, but seems to lack the desire. Tim Thomas at nova is a great comparison. People dont realize that Thomas had the talent to be a top five player in the league but lacked the desire. Best case scenario 6-11 tmac worst case scenario Tim Thomas. So we will see which person's game he takes on.

Steroid is right, mental

Steroid is right, mental makeup doesn't change. For me, saying that he could grow a killer instinct is like saying Kevin Love could grow elite athleticism. It's just not going to happen.

the thing is yellow he wasnt

the thing is yellow he wasnt a match up nightmare at all in highschool

and damn i cant believe i didnt think of tim thomas. that kid had the potential to be a nba allstar every single year, just never seemed to have that motor. And you're right low motor guys tend to stay low motor

Dead On

Perry Jones is one of the tallest runner Jumper prospects of recent years, and I can definately see him catch on. I tend to agree on the low motor thing to a certain extent. He seems a little soft to be honest, but his frame has the makings of a beast. I think Confidence might be an issue with him, so if will be interesting to see if he is comfortable enough to take over like he is capable of. Huge potential but some legitimate red flags. Probably a top 10 type but I dont see him bieng considered in the top 3.

if anything..

he reminds me of Earl Clark.

So many times I heard people rave about the potential Clark had, but somehow he never lived up to it.

He's such a matchup nightmare, but just doesn't appear to want it.

Yeah and it's not like Clark

Yeah and it's not like Clark had an underachieving HS or college career by any stretch either.
