The much loved McLemore (who i had in the top 5 before everyone)

Pope has been tearing it up lately, he has been putting points even if his 3 pointer hasn't really been falling that much.
Pope gets absolutely all the attention in a scrub Georgia squad, if he was in another team he would be putting up better %, perhaps put him in Kansas and his stats would look similar to Ben's.
Its true he often settles for hard jumpers, but at the same time he is often forced into them.
He is absolutely a top 3 point shooter in the class and has all the ability in the world to KILL in the combine workouts, and i'm start to think he will.
Some people don't have him projected for this year draft but i think he will most def. get the Fu(k out Georgia. His game is taylor made for the NBA, as his range has no limits.
GREAT OLD QUOTES
Lebron's Hairline: "I expect him to shoot in the low 40's this season as Georgia has NO type of playmaker on their team which will hurt his stock"
Siggy: "Him going to Georgia was a mistake IMO. They're a bad team so he has take a bunch of difficult shots. He had some bad habits to begin with as far as shot selection and he's not in a position to correct them."
apb540: "I watched parts of their game yesterday and my goodness are the Georgia Bulldogs a bad SEC team! I believe the score at halftime was something like 25-12 with Youngstown State winning... KCP did at least show that shooting prowless that causes threads to be made about him on draft websites"
Not completely sold on KCP but he has more potential than Hardaway and Wilcox, which should land him in the top 20-25 worst case. He needs to work on his ball handling and quickness but I do think he will benefit height, wingspan, and vertical leap measurements at the combine.
Yup, were going to continue to sleep on any player that goes to UGA. Thats his own damn fault.
No one is sleeping on this guy. If you guys can recall, Caldwell-Pope was projected in top 10 before this season started. He hasn't had that big season as expected considering he's a Junior prospect compared to freshman SGs (Shabazz, McLemore, Goodwin). He's fallen off, no one is sleeping on him. To me he's a similar prospect to James Anderson (former SG from Oklahoma St).
Pope is a sophmore. Ben is a sophmore.
Pope is a year younger than Ben.
Pope DOB: 2/18/93
Ben DOB: 2/13/92
So you like Pope over McLemore?
No i do not, but i think Pope is being slept on. even by this Site who was originally its biggest fan.
Ben and Pope actually have some similarities to their game.Put Pope in Kansas and he would not be falling all the way to 23.
He is suffering because he's not the best shot creator and Georgia needs just that, if he was on a team where he could play his natural game (off-the-ball) his % would be higher and his 'bad-shot-taker' label would be diminished.
I do remember they were pretty high on Pope right out the gate. I haven't seen enough of him to really gauge if he is being slept on or not. Like a previous poster said he made a mistake going to UGA. I haven't seen but maybe one or two televised games from him. If he was a football player it is a great place for exposure but that is not the case in basketball.
I see him going in the 15-25 range. More likely in the 20-25 range. I have him going to Chicago, but its still early. I think that would be a good fit, especially if he continues to develop his jumper. He wouldn't be asked to score a ton, but he could still remain physical and grab boards and get an assist here and there.
