llpereztp 10, no. Top 50 definitely. He probably would have never been close to winning an mvp, but he was an all-star year in and out. I read some article though that questioned his love for the game and his passion. It said that the fact that Hill continued to battle through devistating injuries despite making more then enough money while Penny kinda packed it in after he got hurt and already had the big contract, was a sign that he did’nt have as much passion for the game as a lot of the legends of this sport. Regardless, he was incredibly fun to watch and he probably would have played sg for the remainder of his career.

NYK2010Participanttop 50 maybe but no way he’s the best PG after Magic guys like Isiah, Stockton, Kidd, Nash still better.
His asts really dropped once Shaq left though never more than 7 per game even during the Finals run.Didn’t he bulk up and become more of a SG later on anyway?

JoeWolf1In my opinion he and Grant Hill would have been the Dwayne Wade and Lebron James of their generation. Both versatile players that filled a start card and helped their team win. They were still different styles of players Hill and James (James bigger more of a scorer, better ouside shooter, less productive rebounder comparing him to Hill’s prime) and Penny was more a PG to Wade’s sg, Wade is more of a scorer etc., but if they stayed healthy as far as star power and talks of greatness goes they would be very comparable

RipDeuceParticipantpenny would have been the best pg after magic if it wasnt for the injuries

DeAndreParticipantWell he wasnt at his prime yet..
Top 10,,.. couldve, low chance but couldve,
top 20 he couldve most likely been in the top 20 or 30
he was an amazing player,
he wasnt even at his prime when he got injured
he was one of the most amazing players when he was still in the game
amazing passer, if he has reached his prime, he couldve had like
25ppg 8apg 7rpg
how could yall say he wasnt a warrior? that he just wanted the money?
He played THROUGH injuries, the Media criticized him yet he still played,
he tried to come back, at 2006-07 season
he really wanted to Play0 - Posted on: Wed, 08/19/2009 - 4:41pm #203247
