Mr.JoshuaParticipantProposed Trade: Joe Johnson for Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon
(All expiring contracts – works under RealGm.com’s Trade Checker #6645892)
Right now New Orleans has the 4th worst record and Brooklyn has the 3rd worst record. This trade would allow New Orleans to improve their odds at Simmons or Ingram and allow Brooklyn to reduce the sting of losing their pick to Boston by improving their current talent level.
Win-win!

markfitz14ParticipantEveryone keeps saying they= Pelicans might as well tank the rest of the season. They already tried to go for the win now mode be aquiring guys that are good players. Making the playoffs is a long shot since they still aren’t playing that well right now. I think they still try to string some wins together and get out of the bottom of the league standings. Just to get that winning feeling back going into next season. Build the confideence up to fell like we are going to make some noise next year and get to the playoffs.
For the Nets I would let Joe Johnson’s contract end at the end of this year. They will still suck keeping him but they won’t get much in return anyway. Since they need so much help on the team letting his expiring ccontract end would be smart. They are prbly getting a new GM at years end as well from Russia. At least he would have some money to play with. Try to sign 2 or 3 good players to really bring the team out of the depths. They are going to want to win now and they will spend money.

Mr.JoshuaParticipantAnderson and Gordon are unrestricted free agents after the season and other than Anthony Davis the roster is broken. Stringing some wins together and getting out of the bottom of the standings is a bad move.

markfitz14ParticipantSo what if they can leave at the end of the season. They should still try to sign Anderson and bring him back. Stretch 4 is a needed position for them. Be a huge blow if they don’t resign him. They will just be trying to find another stretch 4 if he leaves. Gordon is replaceable.
