Reptilian MonkParticipantPelicans get vets Reddick and Favors to add to their young pieces. Griffin doing work
PG: Holiday, Ball
SG: Reddick, Hart, Ian clark
SF: Ingram, Etwan Moore
PF: Zion, Kenrich Williams
C: Favors, Okafor, Jackson Hayes
Pretty balanced team, could be a playoff team and will be a problem in a few years

llperezno doubt legit and fun squad to watch. As a laker fan, i usually pull for guys who left like clarkson, nance, randle etc… so add lonzo, hart and ingram to that list. Then throw in my former ucla bruin holiday and i hear this kid zion williams is decent. Im gonna be all over me some pelicans this year.

BleedGreen808ParticipantGriffin is an absolute genius at running a front office. He’s made great move after great move since taking over for the Pelicans.

cohenbc1ParticipantRedick and Favors are guys who help you win right now if you’re trying to.
I think they’re 9th or 10th best in the West on paper right now, but if Houston implodes (an increasingly realistic scenario), and injuries strike down a team or two (which always happens), this is a playoff team.
Shockingly after the AD trade, I think it’s a coin toss right now as to who has the better record, Lakers or Pelicans.

chrispaulwallParticipantthis rebuild is amazing. probably the best instant rebuild ever. i can easily see them making the playoffs next year. that rotation is fucking legit

chrispaulwallParticipantalso don’t forget christian wood.
im gonna bet their starting LU is
ball/jrue/ingram/zion/favors (staggering ball and jrue)
reddick/etwuan/williams/wood/melli/hayes
that is absurdly good on both ends, versatile, and deep for a team with the current #1 overall pick

XYRYXParticipantI‘m very impressed by their signings. Not sure who starts between Ball and JJ but my guess is Ball starts and JJ finishes games if Ball doesn’t really have a jumpshot by December. Maybe they still trade Jrue to a contender since I‘m not so sure if he is still happy with this team and the outlook but he is under contract and I would really like to see first how they mesh before I would consider trading him unless someone like Ainge is offering a young guy like Brown and picks or so.
Really really impressed by their front office and they will only get more talent going forward with the Lakers picks and their own picks. The West is being shaken up immensely this offseason and the Pels are definitely up there talent wise if Ingram is cleared to play. Wow

220ParticipantI never imagined the Pelicans would field such a competitive team this quickly. Griffin wants to show Zion, the other young players, and the league that things are different in New Orleans now. He’s already proved it. They’ve made more smart moves in the past month than they have since they drafted AD.
