TimeForNineParticipantI’m watching the Warriors/Pelicans game right now. Anthony Davis has 30 points and yet it’s insane how little his guards have looked his way in this game. Holiday, Rivers, and Evans have been forcing the issue a lot and have missed AD for several missed opportunities. I haven’t watched many Pels games, but for anyone that has, is this an issue every game? Reggie Miller has stated this several times in the fourth quarter. For the Pelicans to be a legit playoff team, they might need to improve their guard play.
Also, Steph Curry is a video game.

thricethefunParticipantPelicans should find a way to get Rondo. Him throwing oops to Davis all day would be sick.

eyefortalentParticipantsigning was stupid. Should have signed Telfair to give them another guy who can create his own shot.

Bossy13ParticipantPelicans shooting %’s :
Evans – .402 ( on 15.6 shots/game)
Holiday – .430 ( 13.8)
Gordon – .398 ( 9)
Rivers – .394
Anderson – .410 ( 13.8)
Fredette – .250
Salmons and Babbitt – .429
Anthony Davis – .568
Obviously every team needs to spread the shots around to some degree but Davis isn’t even in the top 20 in the league in terms of usage %. With the season he’s having so far, that’s insane.
These guys are literally shooting away an mvp type season from Davis with their dysfunctional offense.

ncballerAnyone else kind of surprised that Jimmer doesn’t get that much PT? They struggle from outside and he could give that to them.

HitsterParticipantDavis is their main offensive weapon so logic says they look to use him or at least use him to draw the double team and then move the ball to a free player ideally someone like Ryan Anderson with his 3 point range.
The problem as said above is they have too many guys who perhaps need the ball or who would be better used in the 2nd unit when The Brow has gone to the bench.

IndianaBasketballParticipantDespite my love for Anthony Davis, I can’t stand watching the Pelicans play. I’m sick of seeing Tyreke Evans and Jrue Holiday dribble the air out of the ball. I’m not that impressed with Holiday, but it’s really Evans I have the problem with. He’s still a black hole.
I don’t like the job Dell Demps has done. Matching Eric Gordon’s contract instead of just trying to sign and trade him. Trading two lottery picks for Jrue Holiday. With those two picks they could’ve addressed their hole at small forward and got a young point guard. Then signing Tyreke Evans to $44 million… I didn’t like the move at all. I also think Monty Williams is more of an assistant and not a head coach.

Mad MaxParticipantMonty Williams just isn’t a good head coach, offense is just stagnent and is a whole lot of Evans or Holiday dribble dribble dribble, plus I don’t like his rotations. Agreed with the guy above saying he’s an assistant, he relates and communicates well the players and they like him.
Evans is one of the most inificient players on a terrible contract, he would be better suited off the bench where he can just have the ball and do his thing, but that would be bad for Rivers who similary needs the ball and can’t play off the ball, and I think Rivers is a more effiecent player who at least moves the ball.
