IndianaBasketballParticipantHow has he looked so far this season? I read that he’s grown an inch and is now 6′ 8″ 210.

JNixonParticipantHis stats are OK, I’ve only seen highlights so far though. He’s going to be a good player in the NBA though, he looks very smooth offensively.

Michael.S.ParticipantIve watched one of his 2 games so-far this season, the second one. Yes, he is very smooth offensively, but also very explosive in all fascets. Most importantly though, his team is 2-0. I remember everyone eating him up(on this forum) this summer, because his team had bad record in a weak conf…………Can’t say that as of now.

Michael.S.ParticipantIt still counts, plus this is the first year im actually watching college basketball as a whole so I really don’t know much at all, last year I watched rarely, basically only when there was a player I liked playing.

NorthernLights666ParticipantFinally got to watch him for the first time tonight on FCS and he looks pretty good. You’ll see that he had six turnovers in the loss to Seattle U (who also has a very interesting prospect in Charles Garcia, which one coach said is the best pro prospect out of the city of Seattle right now, including Abdul Gaddy), but most of those came on passes his teammates couldn’t handle, or them calling out for a lob and missing it. He can definitely create off the dribble with his right hand, didn’t see a whole lot with the left, but as we all know, there’s no hand checking fouls or illegal defense in College, so he’s going to get many more opportunities to get to the hoop in the NBA, lane clogging is the worst part of College. He also takes very long strides and when he goes to the hoop or is at the hoop and draws contact he shows exceptional body control and explosive athletcism, very balanced for his size, 6’8″ with a 7’0-2 wingspan. He had a couple of really nice shots within a few feet of the basket go in and looked effortless in the process, protecting the ball from his defender and banking it off the backboard, he’s shows the neccesary agility and quickness to have some pretty good back to the basket moves when he reaches his potential, extremely quick spin moves, much like Rudy Gay. He also looks for open teammates when driving to the hoop, but they just don’t have enough guys that can make consistent shots, including the enigmatic 6’9″ Sylvester Seay, that dude plays out of control, Lenny Wilkens was tearing that dude up in the broadcast. I’m not sure if he’s Top 10 this year, but if continues to progress a Top 10 in 2011 is very probable, I just don’t know how good of a program he’s in and if it’s really benefiting him to stay past this year. I’d say he would be a very close lock for the First Round this year.

kaceyParticipantNice post. Its nice to see someone break down a players game based on a what they saw during an entire game instead of just youtube highlights. There is a reason why people look good in youtube highlights, its because they are highlights.
