The Thunder got their stretch 4 to play alongside Westbrook and George. Their lineup is looking legit wow.

With gibson leaving

this is a solid pickup for them, Patterson can stretch the floor which gibson don't

as a Philly fan

I like him a lot more than Amir Johnson. Signed him to a great deal. Valuable stretch 4 to start in front of Saric. Hard-baller. My kind of player. We missed out.

I'm probably more excited for

I'm probably more excited for this signing than his numbers would suggest I should be (although I'm a UK guy so that adds a good bit) but he's the kind of guy we needed. Can stretch the floor at least as well as Serge could, last year we had no big guys that could stretch it so this will open up a lot of opportunities in the paint for PG and Russ and hopefully bring back the lobs for Adams. If the Warriors weren't what they are now I'd say we had a decent chance to make the Finals. Looking at the roster as it is, replace PG back with KD and it looks pretty similar to our 2015-16 team; besides KD I might even like it better. This could be a weird feel out year or we could potentially be a 2-3 seed. I'm hoping that since Russ got his MVP and found out what it's like to have to carry a team, he'll be more inclined to defer and focus on the guys around him now that we have guys that can actually help

Wasn't a fan of them losing

Wasn't a fan of them losing both Gibson and Sabonis, but I think this move makes up for it.

Lol @ this order of events the past year, though:

1) OKC trades Ibaka for to Orlando for Oladipo and Sabonis

2) Orlando trades Ibaka to Toronto for Ross. Ibaka leapfrogs Patterson on depth chart.

3) OKC trades Oladipo and Sabonis to Indy for Paul George

4) OKC signs Patterson.

Good move by OKC. Im happy

Good move by OKC. Im happy for Patterson and hope he can bounce back from a bad shooting season. For alot of people who havent watched him play tons you will be surprised by how good of a defensive player he is. His defense kept him on the floor last year.

I am not against this move as long as he can do the following

I wouldn't have minded us getting Rudy and Patterson but if its coming down a money game I am not against only getting Patterson..

If he can at least give us the following: 8-14 ppg,4-5 boards per game, not be a ball stopper and play solid defense I would call that a good pick up..

Now if we can somehow get Marcus smart off the Celtics for our trade exception and maybe a future pick(of some sort) I would call this a very successful offseason..As apparently they want to move him so they can sign Hayward...

Because imagine this lineup if Presti some how made it happen: Adams,Gay(once market dries up may change mind),P.G,Roberson(we can go over the cap for him),Russ

Bench Kanter,Patterson,Doug M or the Rookie,Abrines and Smart(if we can get him via our trade exception)

That would be one deep team if chemistry isn't an issue..

As much as I'd like to see

As much as I'd like to see it, the Thunder can't sign Rudy Gay. They just used their MLE on Patterson and have no cap space. They'd have to sign and trade to get him and I think that's unlikely at this point.
