Anyone think this guy is very underrated? To me, he is the NPOY. He has carried a limited Georgetown team to a #7 ranking. Without Porter, Georgetown wouldn’t make the tourney.

I have him as the #1 prospect for this class. He reminds me of Brandon Roy as SF, does everything well, nothing great, but nothing poor. Before Roy was hurt, he should’ve been the #1 pick back in 06. Porter has no flaws in his game, which makes him better since defense can’t really force him to do a certain thing because he can shoot the 3, score from midrange, play in the post, attack the basket, and create for others.

If Porter keeps scoring at will he’s going to be the number one pick. If he keeps putting up 20 ppg while G’Town only scores like 50 ppg as a team and wins I think he would clearly be the best prospect.

It’s funny you said he reminds you of Brandon Roy because I wanted to say before that Porter is reminding me of Turner in college. Turner was a player with a ton of talent but lacked elite athleticism and kinda of got overlooked as a prospect until he started taking the Big10 by storm as a sophomore and just kept producing at a very high level. Well Porter is taking the Big East by storm and continues to prove he can produce at a very high level.

Porter is still very young with all the physical tools, his only question mark was his ability to be a go to scorer which I honestly think he didn’t have, but he’s proved everybody wrong in that category. He’s a top 3 pick in my eyes with a shot to go 1st.

Otto Potter if he comes out this year, will hands down be the best from this class. Given its a weak class, Potter will be a more complete player then noels, zeller, smart and ben.

He should be a top 5 pick. Especially after the way he is shooting it from deep this year.

I am a big fan of Porter. I am not saying he will be a superstar, but i think he has the most chance of not being a total bust (there is always at least 2-4 players from the top 10 who never get close to draft day expectations)

I have been gunning for him all season and hoping my pistons would take him with a projected 8-9th pick, but much like last year when I was hoping for MKG they just keep getting better and better and taken higher than that 8-9th pick…..

Yeah well your Pistons lucked up into Andre Drummond who is a better prospect then MKG. Reminds me of the time the Sixers had the 6th pick in 2010 before the lottery, and I was hoping they’d reach or trade back for Paul George because I loved his potential and thought he’d compliment Iggy so well with his shooting and athleticism, if not I wanted Greg Monroe. But I didn’t have to worry because the Sixers won and moved up to 2nd in the lottery ensuring atleast Turner or Cousins. In hindsight I wish they never won the lottery because we’d of probably drafted Greg Monroe at the 6th pick.

The Hornets/Pelicans should have him #1 on their big board.

The thing about Roy being good but not great at everything isnt all that true. Brandon Roy for a shooting guard was a phenomenal playmaker and ball handler, nothing against porter just throwing that out there. Man i wish Porter was just a bit more athletic then i would pencil him in as Scottie Pippen 2.0

I meant Roy as a prospect, coming out he was seen as doing everything well, nothing great.

i have high hopes for otto porter, i’m a fan, he can defend and i dont know why but i see him as a Scottie Pippen, i mean his ceiling his, he only needs to add a consistent three on his skills, i can see his floor as a tayshaun prince type player, has a good lenght and can defend and score

I love Otto Porter, although in the back of my mind I’m a little nervous because he reminds me a little of Julian Wright, who was also a do it all forward who never found a position or role in the NBA. He may very well be the #1 prospect in this draft, because I do think what seperates him from a guy like Wright, is his feel for the game. He fills up the stat sheet naturally, while a guy like Julian seemed to really try to be versitile offensively. This helps calm my nevers, but if he and G-Town finish the year strong…He could be the first name called.

I really do love his game and his story, in an era where AAU seems to be the only way to make it, it’s nice to see a young guy with an old school game who learned from his dad.
