Report: Magic shopping around No. 2 pick

If it’s a draft without a superstar, and if the Cavaliers are already shopping around the No. 1 pick, I guess this shouldn’t surprise us.
The Orlando Magic are shopping around the No. 2 pick, reports Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel.
That No. 2 pick is probably going to be Ben McLemore out of Kansas, but guys like Otto Porter or Victor Oladipo could jump up into that spot. If you’re a GM in the lower lottery and really want one of those guys, and you have an asset you can throw in to swap picks, it could happen.
Thing is, there are not teams willing to give up much of anything to move up in this draft. There are no franchise changing players in this draft, and GMs are not going to give up two assets to get one unless there is something special.
Which is to say, the Magic are going to shop this around but it’s not likely going to matter much.
Think they're trying to scare other teams into trading up for a guy like Oladipo (who everyone seems to be raving about, but I still don't think should be selected until picks 5-8), McLemore, or Porter? What could the Magic realistically get for the #2?
Nothing. This draft is so bottom heavy its radiculas. I'd rather be drafting at 15-20 than at 2.
I'm not gonna lie, I only negged you because of the ridiculous way you spelled ridiculous.
Laugh out loud moment of the day
Look for Minnesota to try and snag this pick to get B-Mac. B-Mac and Rubio's game styles compliment each others perfectly.
An off-ball player and a pass-first point guard.
True there's no "superstar" players??? But I think there's alot of just good ballers in this draft? Guys that will be solid 10-12 yr pros. And maybe down the road a few "all stars"?
I'm not gonna lie I only negged you because of your questionable punctuation.
Trying to move up to get Oladipo? That's what I've read anyways... http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/228042/Sources-Timberwolves-Continu...
I think the Timberwolves would love to get either Oladipo or McLemore. Saunders has been caught lusting after Oladipo on more than one occasion.
The Wolves only real assets, or I should say their only real assets that they might be willing to part with, are the 9 pick, the 26 pick, and D Will. I don't know if D Will alone is enough to pry the 2 out of Orlando's grasp. I think the 9 and D Will is too much, but I don't know what the Wolves think about it. The 26 and D Will makes sense to me.
D Will is a poor fit in Minny. He basically duplicates what Love brings to the table. D Will wasn't all that great as a 3, but plays pretty well as a stretch 4. I think 18 and 8 would be pretty realistic if he were to get starters minutes at the 4.
LMAO. Every team in the top 3 is seriously looking at trading down.
I'm a Tragic fan, and I'd love to see them draft BmAc BUT a trade with a team like ATL, who still believes they can land Dwight Coward, wouldn't be a bad move. ATL could package their 17,18, 47th picks together to move up & draft ONE key player versus having 2 rookies under guaranteed contract. If the Magic GM could put that together, & maybe take back the salary of a guy like Devin Harris (8.5mil) it would allow the Hawks some freedom to sign all of Dwight Cowards friends so they can try and get him to ATL, while also allowing them to draft a shooter like McLemore at #2. This would then allow the Magic to add talent through the draft (a la OKC) while also giving us a PG that would at least fill in for the year. I'm not 100% sure if the salary works with Orlando's cap, but it HAS to, as I'm pretty sure their cap situation is pretty flexible.
**The real icing on the cake is Dwight Coward's lack of decision making ability could actually HELP us this time around**
