I think this is a good trade for both teams. The suns lose Richardson but i think he is a better fit in the Magic’s offensive system. Hedo gets to go back to where he can be effective. They lose Gortat which is huge but it looks like they are going to try to get another replacement for Howard’s backup.
For Phoenix they can start Gortat and move Lopez to the 4 which i think will allow him to focus more on his offensive game and finesse around the rim.
With talks of Arenas coming what do you think of there lineup?
Arenas – J. Richardson – Hedo – Bass – Howard
Nelson – Reddick – Pietrus off the bench and depending on who else they get in the Arenas deal they might have a solid rotation.

I hate it, they better be able to out score a lot to offset the lack of D they are going to have. You’re also relying on players who have a history of being injured. The Magic didn’t need this kind of change, just some fine tuning.

llperezThat lineup looks no different defenisvely then what they have been playing with this year already. Their perimiter is not very good defensively, but hedo/richardson/arenas seems more scary offensively then nelson/carter/lewis imo.

andxxxParticipantI don’t see this deal making the magic better than either the Celtics or Heat and possibly the Bulls, but its nice seeing Arenas having a new start on a contending team and Hedo Turkoglu back in Orlando where he was more successful. Gortat gives the Suns size and they get a first rounder for the future. I’m still hoping they trade Nash just for his sake

Toronto16ParticipantSuns owe it to Nash to trade him to a contender now. Does anybody else agree?

delfamParticipant^ it seems like all the elite teams have PG’s though, he could go to Atlanta but they still wouldn’t win and Miami would be ideal but they don’t have any tradinga assets.
