Personally, I can’t split them on recent games. But I’ll try.

Im not getting too hypped about any easy wins over Lithuania or Argentina since neither are very good.

Aussies get the favourable semi final draw vs Serbia.

 

USA vs Spain is a coin toss. Spain have been on fire though. *Upset alert*

 

Keep a close eye on questionable officiating. Known to happen throughout Olympic history.

Wouldnt be surprised if Rio organisers were annoyed at Ryan Lochtes comments and looking for an outlet to vent their frustration against USA. Like when Roy Jones Jr got hustled that time in the boxing. Or that rigged Olympic Ice Skating scandal. 

Prediction:

Gold – Australia

Silver – Spain

Bronze – USA

I know your name is Hype Machine, but you’re making us Aussies look bad dude!

 

I’d have to agree with SuperChronics that we (Australia) played really well in our first game against the US, and they (USA) played much worse than they should have.

 

I don’t agree with the dirtydelly nonsense though. There is a huge difference between playing hard and playing dirty. Delly just throws himself at contested balls with no regard for his safety. Draymond Green however… throws his foot into actual balls with no regard for testicular safety. THAT is dirty!

 

Anyway, I predict that the US beats Spain pretty handily and Australia beats Serbia again to set up the Gold medal game.

 

I still believe the gold medal game will again be close through three quarters… but unfortunately for us, the US will have a better game plan in the rematch and will pull away in the fourth quarter.

 

I’d love to be proven wrong, but I’m pretty sure it will be:

 

Gold: USA

Silver: Australia

Bronze: Spain

Fourth: Serbia
