Oladipo compared to Harold Miner??

Alot of people have been comparing Oldaipo to Dwyane Wade or Tony Allen. But has anybody on this site compared him to Harold Miner? I don't think he will be the let down Miner was. But Miner was called "Baby Jordan." Oladipo was getting comparisons to Jordan and Wade through the college basketball season. To me I think he will be a better Harold Miner. Now I am a little to young to remember Harold Miner playing days. I just was talking to my dad about basketball and the Draft and he said Oladipo reminds him of Harold Miner. I pulled up youtube clips and I must say I see the similarities. For any of you guys that remember Harold Miner, do you guys think Oladipo's game is similar to his?

I don't remember minors

I don't remember minors shooting percentages from distance but I remember hisjumper was beyond broken, I mean you could leave him open all day. He also was extremely strong and aggressive attacking the rim. I dont think the games are too similar. Oladipo should be significantly better at ball handling, defense and shooting.

For a higher ceiling

For a higher ceiling comparison for Victor Oladipo what about David Thompson? A great athlete, combustible, about 6'5 but pretty long. Good jumper, and good all-around skills but not known as a deadly deep threat.

Here is a youtube David Thompson countdown video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6OsKy1c5A0

I just hope that Oladipo is better than Harold Miner.

Miner wasn't nearly as athletic as Oladipo is.

Here is a highlight tape of

Here is a highlight tape of Victor Oladipo:

Looks closer to a star than a rotation guy to me.

Compare that to David Thompson's college highlights:

Looks similar. I like Oladipo's ceiling.

im sold

I'm sold Oladipo is the real deal I didn't know he had a handle like he does. I saw a video were he shook MKG out of his shoes. Also on other video he's just blowing buy guys with a quick first step. He's the real deal and can at least be a Dion waters. I see the Dwade in his game though.

I remember Baby Jordan, he

I remember Baby Jordan, he was a hell of player and scorer for the Trojans at USC.

Oladipo is more rounded than Miner, better defender, passer and handle.

Although he was a bust at the pro level, he will always be remembered for his dunk comp win.
