Now that you mention it. I think it’s because Griffin left so the hype went down, but Crocker-Warren is a pretty good combo. Kinda like Indiana’s Gordon-White combo.

Probably because they are still seen at best as the 3rd best team in their conference behind Kansas and Texas.

OU has more talent than those teams though IMO and an extremely underrated coach and athletic director

If crocker is consistent his year and Warren doesn’t go crazy then they’ll be really good.

Texas has Damion James, Avery Bradley, and Dexter Pittman. Enough said on just them.

Tiny Gallon will be an impact player next year. Him and Willie Warren will be like Gordon & White. I like that comparison from citrusiswow

No question they have talent but they leaned pretty heavily on Griffin last year and I think people are just thinking about what they are going to do without him. Take last year for example when Pittman gave Griffin that concussion in the Texas Oklahoma game and Texas won. Then the next few games he was out i think they lost at least one or 2 of those too. They have no clear cut leader besides Warren and with Mason-Griffin coming Warren will probably be moved to SG, maybe a more natural position but different than what he was doing last year. Without the ball in Warren’s hands who knows what will happen? Kansas has great returning talent too with Aldrich, Collins, Taylor twins, and Morningstar to name a few, along with a solid recruiting class. Texas has a great returning class and a really good recruiting class. Oklahoma State has a good team, Baylor should be improved with Nolan Dennis coming there, K-state will be better with Wally Judge, Iowa State could manage to be relevant for a change. Big 12 will be a great conference to watch this year.

Jai Lucas is transferring over and Jordan Hamilton is another recruit of ours. Balbay too can be a solid back up and Gary Johnson is a nice player. There’s another guard that I’m drawing a blank on…a real surprise for me last year.
Yeah, if Connor would’ve come out last season he may have been drafted, but this year he was a no-show. Very sad and Abrams was in summer league, but…I doubt he’ll make it. This was the first year Texas didn’t have someone drafted in a very very long time.

Dude, Connor sucks ass, DJ made him look good. Bottom line haha. The other guard is Varez Ward.

Rubio OU has THE most talent in the conference. Willie Warren,Tony Crocker,Cade Davis,Tiny Gallon,Tommy Mason-Griffin,Andrew Fitzgerald,Steve Pledger, and two very improved post men in Ryan Wright and Orlando Allen

I would still say Texas or Kansas has more talent than OU. OU does have talent but they lost their best player. Texas returns a deep team and a good recruiting class, and even though we lost Abrams he shot us out of a lot more games than he shot us into. Kansas returns their starting 5 and has a great recruiting class to boot. I still see OU as the 3rd best team in that conference.

They have 2 true ballers IMO. Warren will be special, he is a great player. I think Tiny Gallon will be great right off the bat. They don”t have any depth, and to be honest that team probably doesn’t even make the tournament without Blake Griffin last year. They couldn’t win without him. Mason Griffin seems like a nice prospect, but a freshman point guard with no established backup is….a freshman point guard. Crocker is an average glue guy. Cade davis is a bad defender who jacks up threes, even though he makes alot of them. They have a couple good players, but I wouldn’t be surprised if somebody leapfrogged them, Kansas State or Oklahoma State. Kansas is clearly more talented. Cole Aldrich is probably going to be the best big in the country, either him or Ed Davis. Sherron Collins is a top 5 point guard. They have that monster recrutiting class of last year with the Morris’ twins and Tyshawn Taylor, as well as Xavier Henry and 2 other blue chips whose names i cant recall at the moment. Not even close. Texas is a full head above them as well. Damion James, Avery Bradley, Pittman, Gary Johnson, Justin Mason and reserves, they more experienced and talented. Jordan Hamilton might not qualify, but if he does, there is no way that Kansas and Texas arent the top 2. Theres a huge seperation between them and the rest, and I really think that Oklahoma State and K state have just as good a shot to be that third team as Oklahoma.
