PrioBut in my mind i saw a small ball OKC starting five :
Westbrook Sefolosha K Durant Collison Ibaka
or
Westbrook Sefolosha Ariza K Durant Ibaka
or
R Jackson Westbrook Sefolosha K Durant Ibaka

This is not a small ball lineup. It’s just an undersized normal lineup.
Small ball implies playing with a stretch 4.0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/30/2013 - 7:29am #827335

Status QuoParticipantEven if they shed Perkin’s contract to clear up space, they’d be giving up on PJ3 way too early in his career, let alone, screw up a locker room dynamic where Perkins is valued. I understand the basis of shedding cap space, due to Ariza coming off the books in the summer of 2014, Vesely is as big as a gamble as PJ3, at least with PJ3, the staff would have familiarity with the player and he has one year of experience under the system.
As far as giving Steve Adams rotation minutes, it’s just not wise at the moment considering he is so young, inexperienced and as raw offensively as Perkins is as bad offensively. The other thing Perk provides is someone who give D. Howard fits. That’s gonna be valued come playoff time.

mike_r232ParticipantWhat is throwing me off is the draft pick. Guessing it should say WAS draft pick (since WAS does not own the OKC pick). Even so, I don’t see the Wizards giving up a pick in an extremely valuable draft for Perkins as a backup center and the chance to groom Perry Jones III. I agree that OKC should try to get some value for Perkins, since they were considering amnestying him anyways, but I don’t think this is the trade.
I do like your first lineup for OKC with Collison starting though.

WITNESS2014ParticipantSo you want to add Perkins and Orton to Nene and Okafor? 4 centers. I don’t see how this benefits both teams?
