     So how does everybody think this game will end?  Good start for the Spurs so far.  Sweet cut by Leonard for that transition dunk.

    I say SAS wins this.  They are immediately making life difficult for Westbrook on the pick and roll and are just the superior overall team, although the Thunder can beat anybody.

    I just made a thread, but I’ll post in here.

    KD still has no handles. They’ve improved, but they still aren’t very good.

     Yeah, I posted at the same time as you, so I didn’t see your thread.

     Man, are there any better SGs in the league at using the pick and roll than Ginobili and Harden?  They both are so tough to keep out of the paint and both are such clever finishers at the rim.  Manu is superior right now, in my opinion, due to his passing off the pick and roll, but Harden isn’t far behind.

     tony parker is abusing westbrook like he said he would while westbrook is killing the offense with overdribbling

     I know how gifted Westbrook is but he’s disrupting their offense, overdribbling and bad shot selection. I’d like to take a chance of  benching Westbrook, Harden playing the point and Sefolosha getting the 2 spot and guarding Parker.

    I don’t mean this is the best team ever or even the greatest team of this decade, but this Spurs team plays better team basketball than any team I’ve ever seen. Better than the 02 nets, better than the 04 pistons, better than the 08 celtics. Popovich is doing just a ridiculous job coaching this team, it’s honestly unbelievable.

    Wow, the Spurs are killing the thunder. The way the Spurs are playing right now, makes them look unbeatable by any team other than The Dream Team.

     WizardofOz you really believe Kevin Durant doesn’t have handles ? I believe he has the best handles ever for someone 6’10, and better than most of the SF playing today.

      @For_Never_Ever

      I exxagerated the "no handles" part. Obviously he has good handles for his size, but they aren’t very good for a wing player in general. He dribbles way too loose and high, but he’s so tall and lanky, so that’s probably what’s causing. His handle might have peaked. He needs to work on perfecting that post game.

    Their just so………so………….efficient, and even that’s an understatement. There is no word that can describe how balanced this team is and how well they play together. I agree with Bill Simmons when he said that this Thunder team is like the 90′ Bulls, or the 99′ Lakers, in the sense that they’re a team that defeinatly has the talent to win it all, but is one more year away from getting over the hump, but for all of the other teams in the West, it may not matter what their championship window is, I think that by next year, the Thunder will have continued to improve so much to the point that we can pencil them in to come out of the West every year. Not saying they’ll win it all for the next decade, but they’ll be lightlyears ahead of the teams in the West, and the West from top to bottom has been better than the East for years, however we may get to the point when Dirk, Timmy, and Kobe retire, and the West teams won’t have very high lotto picks, and the Thunder will be the head and shoulder fav to win the West. Lebron and the Heat better win this year though, because it doesn’t get any easier, the Pacers are only getting better and more experienced, the Knicks may not be a threat but they won’t roll over like they did this year, and Chicago will be back. But the OKC SAS series will be the most entertaining series since the Chicago-Boston series in 09. The games don’t even have to be close, the quality of basketball is just so good.

    The Thunder must play better defense, plain and simple, because they got 88 points from their big three. The rest of the team had just 23, 18 of those from Ibaka and D-Fish. It’s not rocket science, they need to help better, and get back, and they’ll be fine, this series is not over by any means, but man do I love this San Antonio team. Charles Barkley may be there for entertainment and comedy, but he is one smart man, last year he called the Spurs going out in the first round and this year he called them out of the West, although it didn’t take a genius to realize that this team is more than special, but I hope the streak comes to an end because that’s extra bagage that those young guys don’t need.

    I found myself shouting at the TV berating Westbrook so many times in this game, but that pull-up 3 with a minute to go was so ridiculously bad that words cannot describe it accurately.

    This is the first time in a while I’ve watched the Spurs because they don’t have any young stars to see develop and their first two rounds were blatantly one-sided, but these guys are reminiscent of the 2011 Mavericks in terms of their determination and drive to just execute. They rely a lot on hitting that 3-pointer, and you could see them losing a game if the shots aren’t dropping, but the movement of the ball and players in beautiful.

    They are doing a great job denying Durant the ball in the half-court, and I’d like to see Durant move to a point-forward type role for stretches when he’s gone quiet, because they aren’t going to use full-court ball-denial, and he has great passing abilties and is able to see the floor really well with that length. I think this would really throw the Spurs off balance a bit, because watching today’s game it seemed like 80% of his possessions ended with an assist, a good look for a teammate/Durant or a bucket.

    Also, Derek Fisher needs to get that flopping BS outta here, the refs aren’t having any of it and he was called for several key blocking fouls down the stretch because he flopped so obviously. I’d like to see more minutes for the Westbrook-Harden-Sefolosha-Durant-Ibaka lineup and less time for Fisher. They need to maximise their length and agility if they are going to get stops and disrupt passing lanes. I honestly wouldn’t mind seeing Durant play the C position for stretches or putting Harden at the PG.

    Brooks needs to make adjustments, because that offense is too smart for the Thunder to defend with their brains if the outside shooters are hitting their shots, so they need to just hustle and raise the intensity to try and rattle the Spurs with pressure, and then get out on the break.
