417basketballfanParticipantokafor for exum. Both players have been underwhelming to begin their career thus far. Jazz have in mind that okafor to play similarly to favors in the jazz system. Gobert could cover okafors defensive sins while playing together. While still being able to produce on the offensive end.
Exum to the 76ers would be more ideal to his playing style. Being able to be the point guard who gets to play in a system that moves the ball to get easy looks. Exum does a good job of being a role guy and is great cutter which will benefit greatly playing with great passers like Simmons and saric. Exum also brings quality defense from the point guard spot as well.
Overall this would be a low risk low reward trade that I think both teams would do. At the end of the day I probably still wouldn’t do it if I were the jazz. i just figured this could be one of the few trades the 76ers could do to potentially get something in return.

BallerScriptParticipantJazz don’t need Okafor. They are better to stick with Exum.

SwatLakeCityParticipantUtah challenged Exum over the offseason to get better and improve. If he doesn’t do so, he will be traded for a player that will do well like Lyles was on draft day for Donovan Mitchell. He’s even playing on Utah’s Summer League team which starts tomorrow!!! I’d look for next year to see a major improvement in Exum. I think he could start next year alongside new jazzman Ricky Rubio. As a matter of fact Rubio’s passing could help Exum become a better player. So I don’t think Utah would move Dante, that would mean they suddenly lost faith in him and wouldn’t be able to make good on that challenged they issued to him when the season ended.

Robb_CParticipantJahlil Okafor is not valuable in todays league, hes suited for a team that plays a slower pace but these teams are struggling vs High Poss offenses with great defenses.. Okafor is Eddy Curry without the Cheeseburger addiction..
Hes a skilled big but lacks the footspeed to defend pick n rolls, if you cant guard or at least recover properly as a Big you will be exposed..

Dell87ParticipantPrepping for Haywards departure
Pg. Exum
SG. Burks
Sf. Hood
Pf. Favors
C. Gobert
Hood and and exum are going to have to step up big time to replace Haywards production if he leaves

SwatLakeCityParticipantExum will step up but not at point guard. I’ve said this many times before, Dante is a 2 guard. He fits better there. I have watched and listened to many jazz games and the jazz have struggled when Exum plays point. However when he plays SG he plays much better. Case in point: When Utah played GSW in the last game of their season. Dante was an energy guy that got the jazz close in that last game. Expect this to be the starting lineup next year:
PG: Ricky Rubio
SG: Dante Exum
SF: Hayward or Hood or Iggy
PF: Favors
C: Gobert

joe2324Participanthold off on trading Jahill until u get a full season from Embiid. I’d be very concerned if Embiid has another leg injury.

holefillers1ParticipantAgreed. Okafor probably won’t see more than 12-14 min but if Embiid goes down, he will be better than a couple future 2nd rounders. Sixers have enough young guards in Fultz, Stauskas, TJ with Simmons being the primary facilitator. They also have Bayless. This team could use another stretch 4 but with them only looking at 1 year contracts I feel a guy like Patrick Patterson will be coming to Philly
