ok my fellow knicks fans out there, whom would you like drafted at 8?
Curry may be the best fit but I do like Holiday though. He will move up tremendously come draft time. I doubt he overtakes rubio and Jennings though.
but they need to look toward 2010. thats when they can actually consider making the playoffs. most of the contracts are up by then. the entire roster needs an overhaul. keep lee, maybe qrich, curry is under contract, so is galinari, and chandler.
take the best possible player sf and pf they kind of got a couple to keep at those positions. i like demar derozan. he can run and gun in dantoni's system and will be there future sg to team up with whoever in 2010
He is not a PG. He is a SG who is short and can dribble so we think he is a PG. He is a ok PG but i wouldnt take him to be a PG on my team, he hasnt proved it in college that he could lead a team as a PG.
HE CAN SCORE, but he cant be a great PG in my eyes
Exactly MATA, J'rue Holiday would be great on the Knicks, if Brandon Jennings, doesn't drop to 8th. Holiday is the best perimeter defender in the draft, something the Knicks sure lack. At only 18 years old, Holiday has plenty of upside left, he's very poised, coachable, he's a smooth player that let's the game comes to him, and he loves to win. Great selection at 8th, in my book, Curry doesn't have the makeup to become a true point guard.
Holiday scares me because he couldnt do anything in college. 8 points get you to be 8th overall? Crazy? He could be another great player but i dunno....hes kinda high at 8
I think we should get Curry because he fits perfect and Lebron says he wants to play with him
One thing I dont want is to trade no.8, Chandler/Lee, and another player to move up for Rubio
I like the Dan Man thing
Why not trade up ( Lee, Chandler and 1st rounder to Mem for 2nd overall and Darko) take Rubio?
and Trade Nate and Hughes to Sac for Udrih and 23th pick and take Budinger?
QHaynes is dead on. Curry is a tweener that cant guard either position and wont get his shots as easily as he did in college. He is not the knicks answer. I would be much happier moving down in the draft for 2 picks or trading into next years draft which I talked about on my other post. We should try to get into the 2010 draft anywhere or trade the pick down to Chicago at 16 and 26 or Minnesota a 18 and 28. We dont need another combo forward but Johnson would be a steal there or we could still a take a chance on Holiday and get a solid player like T-Will. Another debateable player is Mullens. Post-up centers dont fit the D'Antoni system mold but he is very athletic and runs the floor well and would help our stagnant offense whe we get stuck in a half-court game. We nee height in the middle. What do you think?
The Knicks need INTERIOR defense, not PERIMETER defense. Hughes is an above-average defender and Duhon is average when healthy. You could have Jordan and Pippen on the perimeter but Lee and Harrington up front is not going to get it done.
Curry could be an absolute star at PG. Nash gets by defenders so easily because of his jumpshot, and you're hearing the same criticisms of Curry as you did when Nash came out. Curry averaged 5.6 assists last year with a team full of non-NBA players. His assist to turnover ratio is a bit high, but he was asked to do so much for his team it's hard to find fault.
I'm confident that he has the brains, the desire and the confidence to be a perfect fit for the Knicks.

i want jrue holiday. :D
