Let me say first that alot of things will change from now till draft day, and some things I see changing are Burks stock and Motiejunas’s stock. I only commented on the Top 20 picks and the 2nd round was pretty much just thrown together with little care.

I think burks is a little high. I also think he has crazy potential and might Deserve to be the second pick in a few years.

I don’t have a problem with this mock. You never know how the draft is going to shake up in the next three months. Players pull out, the lottery happens, teams fall in love with certain prospects, cyclo-like GMs pay too much attention to the athletic combine, interviews go awry, etc…

    Interesting take, OhCanada.

I like the Barnes pick because I think we have to see what Samuels and Hickson can give them, Sull is very similar to Samuels.

not good homie. Burks #2???? comparable to the rise of Westbrook? He’s not on Russell’s planet athletically as very few are. glad you have your team taking Kanter as one of your fellow country men dismissed it when I made the same pick. Perry Jones does not see like a Jazz type of player, ya know what I mean?….no love for Marcus Morris @ 18? that’s not going to happen

Burks is too high. I feel he will creep up draftboards too, but not that high. The highest I have him going is 6th. He’d be a perfect fit for Utah because of his passing ability. Utah would love him and he would fill the role of SG very well. He fits their system perfectly. This might also allow CJ to once again resume his role as the 6th man which he might actually be better at. He seems to be inconsistent no matter where he plays whether its on the bench or he’s starting. I’d much rather have inconsistency from the bench instead of the starting lineup. Perry would never work in Utah’s system because he would never have much of a role. I view him as more of a 4 yet Utah is full of big men. (Jefferson, Millsap, Favors, Fez, and Okur who will come back next year from his injury). I also think Perry will be a bust.

I don’t think Montie will fall that low. He is definitely going in the lottery. Probably to Pheonix since they a hole at PF because Amare left. And if he reaches his full potential he would fill the hole that Amare left very nicely.

Although Knight is not a bad pick for Utah, there is also another position you might want to consider. SF, you already know that AK will probably sign elsewhere in the offseason, yet Perry is not the answer to replace him. (Horrible fit) Instead Utah could pick a SF at 12 like Kawhi Leonard. His defensive ability would be a perfect replacement for AK. Or if Terrance Jones is still available at 12 then he too would be a good pick also because he is good passer just like Burks. But like you said Utah could also draft Knight as a backup to Harris. Hopefully he can learn well under Harris (Which I think he would) Just a SF, like Leonard or T. Jones is something else to consider at 12.

I agree with you Nappy and Ward but I think still with the new way of thinking and kind of approach Utah has been using they take a risk on Jones. Also Frye is really coming into his own with the Suns and I dont think they would have too big men on the perimeter like that and make it work.
