not really usre where you are

not really usre where you are going with this. But i dont hate new york. I have onthing wrong with the team having more money or going for star players.

I will say this though, considering how much money they spend and the fact they have routinely gone over the luxury tax as much as any team in the league over the last decade, I have to say they might be the worst ran orginization in the NBA. I cant tell you how many times they made moves that were absolute head scrathchers and of course didnt work out. I thought Scott Layden was the worst GM in the league and the knick fans chanted for him to be fired. They then replaced him with Isiah Thomas who i decided was even worse as a gm. Now they put all their eggs into this years free agent basket and sacrificed their lottery picks. If this doesnt work out, im gonna laugh my ass off at them while they scramble for someone to take their money, resign David Lee for even more then they could have got him last summer and then hope Gallo is the future.

I'm sure New York doesn't

I'm sure New York doesn't like you simple truck driving rednecks either. You guys are the reason the rest of the world hates America. You uncivilized hicks, I bet most of your neighbors couldn't even find Russia on a map. Middle America makes me sick, over religious nut jobs who don't do anything other than drink cheap beer at their local pub. New York is the financial and cultural center of the universe I'm sure you hate on it in your little crummy town.

7chakras, you're a Raptors

7chakras, you're a Raptors fan.

The Raptors current number 1 scoring option is Andrea Bargnani.

Just stop. You have no authority to rip on New York.

If you hit NY City that I can understand for a diff. reason.
Hating on the Knicks is just stupid though especially now.

Well I grew up watching Reggie Miller so you can already imagine what I think of the Knicks. It's a little weird though because I'm a huge Giants fan.

one of the biggest actors, whiners, complainers, actors, floppers ever. Not even because he beat the Knicks everything about him was irritating. How many times have you seen him run through screens and fall and act like he got fouled? Everything about the way he carried himself makes me cringe.

Woah... Calm down with the

Woah... Calm down with the redneck stuff man.. I take that to heart.. I am from WV and everywhere I go, I hear that crap.. Some people are actually surprised that we play basketball in gyms and not outside.. People are surprised that I am not covered in dirt and I dont smell like sh-it... Just because you are from NY or some other nation doesnt mean you can bash every American or non-New Yorker.. I know where pretty much every country in the world is on a map.. I am educated and so is my entire family.. All of my friends are educated also.. I dont hate NY so chill out classifying people you dont know.. Some people are stubborn idiots who dont have facts or opinions to back up their statements.. Let this guy be and dont sink to his level of name calling and wrongfully accusing..

You need to get off you high horse...

My bad 8th I know I

My bad 8th I know I overreacted and there are a lot of nice places that are in what someone like me would call "redneck states" lol. Its just New York gets so much &$#%#&@! from small towns and I often feel like people root against the Knicks getting better because of how bitter they are towards the city and it really gets to me sometimes. But this is a perfect example how there are plenty of big cities that overpay and there are threads made directly against NY like we are some big evil empire or something. I understand that there are plenty of educated people outside of large cities, but fact is there is a lot less than there should be. I have been to WV and you can't tell me you don't have a "simple" neighbor or two =].

I live back away from cities

I live back away from cities so I have a few "good ole boys" around but even they are hard working people with HS educations.. Just because they have a "twang" or sound like a "hick" doesnt mean they are rednecks.. IMO, rednecks come in all shapes, colors, and nationalities.. They are just douche bags who think they need to prove that they are better than you by being loud.. Most of the time, people are loud and obnoxious because they dont know what to say in a reasonable way.. They dont know how do defend their feelings or opinions in a civilized way, so they are rough, loud, crude, or just stupid... That being said, you know some people that are what I call "rednecks," right??

I am not a fan of Knicks fans as a whole, just like you are not a fan of "small town people" as a whole.. I do not like most of them because they are unrealistic about what the team is going to get in the FA market.. They think that they are going to get Bosh, Lebron, Amare, and Wade... They are obnoxious, opinionated, and stubborn about changing their minds... Maybe its just a few of them but they give NY fans a bad reputation as a whole, just like a few of your "rednecks" give everyone from my state a bad name...

Honestly I know when I am

Honestly I know when I am wrong and I am kind of sorry I went off like that, it was more directed to the thread called "I HATE NEW YORK" and you probably know that most New Yorkers are very proud and defensive. I really have nothing against uneducated people and as a matter of fact we have plenty over here in Brooklyn as well. I just sort of fired back because... well.... you see what kind of idiot made the thread, not sure what he meant by the 9/11 comment either but I can't imagine it being positive.

No... This is one of the guys

No... This is one of the guys that I call a "redneck." There is no reason for what he does but to destroy something that he has no clue about.. I understand your frustration and I'm not upset about your rant, the only thing that upset me was that you classified this guy into the same category that I am classified in every time I leave my state... Its cool and you dont need to feel bad.. This guy probably deserves what people say to him.. I just dont like being, like I said, in the same category as this joker...

Nah, dont be sorry. Screw this guy, he has no clue...

@bkballer As a Pacers fan,

@bkballer

As a Pacers fan, "slime ball" was the wrong word for Reggie. You must be still mad about him busting up the Knicks lol.

If anybody was a "slime ball" it was Patrick Ewing. Every time he traveled, it made me cringe. Not to mention he was a punk ass off of the court. I'll never forget the time during the playoffs I saw him and Charles Oakley at a pancake house in Indianapolis. I asked him for an autograph and he rudely said, "I just want to eat my pancakes." I got Charles Oakley's though. He apologized for Ewing's horse looking like ass.

Hey you have to be optimistic

Hey you have to be optimistic when your team has been the way it has the past decade. I'm not saying its anywhere near a lock we get stars this summer, but I'm not going to lie I am pretty excited at the possibility. This team has had some awful management lately and plenty of bad luck, so I believe in Donnie Walsh. Many teams have messed up just as much but seem to catch breaks. The Bulls must have picked in the top 5 about 5 times this decade and their fans feel just as entitled to these stars as Knick fans do. As for the Knicks they always seem to be a pick or two short from getting that impact player, the 03 draft was about 6 players deep, they had the 8th or 9th pick; the 08 draft (as much as I like Gallo) the top 5 picks were a notch above 6th and below (with the exception of Lopez); Last year it was regarded as a 7 player draft and the Knicks picked 8th (Jennings caught people by surprise but I'm still not too sold on him) and the Knicks were a loss away from picking Curry who they wanted all year. I'm not even going to bring up all the mistakes made by Layden and Isaiah I don't have enough room. So as entitled as you may think Knicks fans feel, it is also fueled by a lot of frustration this past decade (hey somethings gotta go right eventually right?!? I hope lol).

Honestly Butler I am not a

Honestly Butler I am not a big Ewing supporter, never a huge fan so I sort of agree with you here. But as good as those 90 Knicks team was, they were still a punching bag for a handful of teams in the NBA throughout the decade. I still respect Jordan, Pippen, Mark Jackson, Mourning, Marjle, Olajuwon etc BUT Reggie I cant stand. It's not really me being bitter (I might be a bit though lol) just the way he carried himself on the court and his dirty plays and acting antics really get to me.

Yea optimism is not

Yea optimism is not stupidity.. I think NY is going to get Lebron but yall are going to be sorry.. He is a player killer.. I have made a post about this before.. He is going to win you a bunch of games but I hope that is enough for you.. IMO, he wont get more than 1 or 2 rings in his career.. That is if he gets lucky... To me, you cant put a great player with Lebron because he makes them good.. Just good.. I have seen people say that the Knicks are going to get Lebron, Wade, and Bosh... I swear.. Do you remember when Sergio was signed?? People were saying that he was going to be their savior and entice Lebron to come to NY... The fact that he rode the bench in Portland meant nothing now that he was playing with the Knicks... I mean I hope yall get a big time player so the talk ends... I hope yall win some games because we need the East to get strong again.. I feel bad for NY because they have been bad since Ewing retired....

Lol I probably would've hated

Lol I probably would've hated Reggie too if he were on the other team.

I have a funny story about Ewing though lol.

I was salty about that for a long time. Maybe because I was just a kid when he was mean and rude when I asked him for his autograph. I guess it stuck with me. I didn't realize just how salty I was until I met Pat Ewing Jr at IU... I didn't like him at first because of his dad lol. I'll never forget... I was playing against him in open gym and was just trying to abuse him. After the game, he joked and told me I was playing with a vengance lol. I told him I was and then told him about his dad all those years ago lol. He started rolling! A few weeks later, I ran into him and he gave me a picture of his dad with an autograph lol. I guess he told his dad about me and then his dad signed a picture and sent it lol. So... I guess Ewing isn't THAT big of a slime ball.

Lol Sergio is the next Nash what are you talking about?

No but really, have you seen Chris Duhon play this season? Possibly worst starter the NBA has ever seen, I'd be excited about any team's third string PG coming in and running point instead.

Fun fact about Chris Duhon:

Fun fact about Chris Duhon: In the months of January and February as a starting PG he averaged 5 pts and 5 assist per game shooting slightly above 30% from the field while playing slightly under 30 mpg. You would be excited about Sergio too lol.

I forgot how nice of a team

I forgot how nice of a team the Raptors are. Now I realize your anger towards the Knicks, Bosh can't wait to leave and the NY media says he's going to New York. Hey New York is not your worst option, the Bulls fans want to give you Deng and Hinrich and their wonderful contracts, you can at least get Lee from the Knicks, or he can just leave. Not many other options at this point Bosh is definitely gone.

Oh and I have been to Toronto, least impressive "large" city I have been to and I travel a lot, doesn't really come close to large cities in America like NY, Chicago or LA.

New York MSG

If I were THE Superstar, I prefer playing against New York... Not FOR them... It's like an anticipated boxing event when you play against them in the Mecca of Basketball... People will be selling tickets because Kobe will be visiting, or LeBron playing and even during the Jordan days... It's a spectacle to a lot of people... Playing 41 games in NYK makes it feel like a routine... Like I always observe, when Kobe/LeBron/MJ or any other guys play against NYK in the MSG, they always seem to make that certain game as memorable as they can because visiting the MSG is always a spectacle... Making it your home court makes it feel like nothing... But that's just me though..

I live in San Francisco and i'm a Warriors fan so I definitely feel your pain (as far as having horrible teams)...even if we combined to two teams we'd still be horrible IMO
But to stay on topic, if yoiu don't live in a big city like NY, LA, Dallas, SF, etc. I can understand why you hate it, but personally, NY is a great city an I love visiting when ever I get the chance to. Hate the Yankees though..they took Sabathia from my Giants last season lol
