The Official "A eadly Fantasy" League Thread
Ill be moving up this week. Im winning 6-3-1 against our commish and should get some double doubles from Cousins and Hickson tonight which will give me a 7-3 lead. But then again Cousins could shoot 3-17 tonight and give him the FG category. I forgot to set my lineup one week that I was on the road for week and got crushed 3-6-1 by DMO Cobras who already has a great team. Trades have not been working out for me I keep getting insane offers so Ive stopped trying and havent made one trade.

Grandpa you have made a lot moves. I pretty much gave up on assists (traded Nash and Calderon, but recently traded for Conley) to focus on points, rebounds, and double-doubles with Howard, Stoudemire, Love, and Randolph. This is a pretty good league. Most users are active.
I have picked up some key FA that have helped out my team quite a bit. I got Maxiell early in the season and he has put up quite a bit of double doubles and gets good playing time while Drummond is developing. Picked up Reggie Evans a couple weeks ago as he boards like a champ and I don't need the points. Also just took a flyer on Lamar Odom, hoping his game is starting to heat up. In the last week he is averaging over 20 minutes a game and has been grabbing around 8 boards a game. If he returns to what he used to be, he could be a huge steal.
My best FA pickup is Kyle Singler. Very surprised at his production. Draymond Green gets me a few in each category. Other day he had like 3,7,3,3 steals and a block. I'm hoping Javale McGee starts getting more minutes. His per 36 stats are very good.
You've done a pretty good job Gramps, 7th place with Dirk and Nash having played two games combined this season, you're in position to make a run.
And to 8th Deadly Sin, can you expand the playoffs to 8 teams, I think it's be a lot more fun that way.
I have the ESPN fantasy basketball app on my phone. It has an article on the top PER and usage players that don't get many minutes. Well, my team has the first 3 guys on the PER list. Basically meaning, I have these 3 guys that are absolute studs but just can't get the minutes. Eric Bledsoe, Javale McGee and Tiago Splitter. :/ the only guy that may get more minutes without injury is McGee who shoots himself in the foot too much to count on that.
This is just a FYI because I thought it was weird I had the first 3 guys on the list. Haha
I've been trying to get McGee in my league with my friends from school(also 20 teams, but one less roster spot than this league) for more than a month. I initially agreed to a trade, but it got vetoed, and ever since I haven't been able to get one. I kept seeing his big numbers in limited minutes so I got desperate and offered Dragic for him. Still no luck. He's an absolute beast, but when the time comes he's going to be an All-Star center, he's a lot more skilled this season.
Ha, those guys are studs. Well Bledsoe won't play because CP3 is better. McGee won't play because Karl already plays Faried and donsn't want another guy who can't run any play other than "someone throws the ball toward the rim, you run and grab it and dunk it." No one pays you $5 million a year if your playbook reads like that. (McGee is a legit starting center though.) And Splitter has to sit so that Duncan's per game stats don't drop so low that the refs stop giving him favorable calls. So you are kind of messed up there. But that three could easily form the core of a playoff team. Does that help?
I remember my thought process in regards to picking him up in my other 20 team league with friends from school, "It's only one game, Shevd just had a big game too, let's wait one more game". Sure enough he got picked up and Shevd continues to struggle to get minutes and shots, but at least I was able to get my boy Motiejunas.

Thankfuly, the premere NBADraft.net Fantasy NB league doesn't have any DraftExpress punks like last year. After 5 weeks, a relative unknown n the site, Moochiee, has a sizable lead. Commish 8thDeadlySin leads the othr division of the 20-team league and he shars second overal with llperez. Some other notable users are JoeCheck (6th), OhCanada and myself (7th), Cynthia (9th; butshe's kicking the crap out of me this week), Aamir (16th), JamminLemon (18th; ouch), Taylor Condrin (15th), Tyrober (19th) and TallMan (11th).
