Oden or Thabeet?....hahahaha yea right
just had a stupid thought but i wanna know wat yall think? If they were to play a game of 1 on 1 who would win? also how are their careers going to pan out. Are injuries gonna 4ever plague oden and is thabeet goint to be a starting center in the nba at sum point?
oden more dominate can score thabeete can't score as for carrers role players waste of top picks oden could be good but knee injuries are hard to come back from
if he could stay heatly for for at least 70% of the season we would be able to see him live up to be being the number 1 pick...i still think he has a chance to be good...
i agree on oden.. if he can learn to get healthy, and stay out of foul trouble, hes a hard big to gaurd... he also shoots free throws extremely well.
I just want to go on the record and say I think the Oden and Thabeet bust talk will be significantly less frequent after the end of next year.
I think Oden would win. When healthy, Oden was prolific. If it wasn't for the injuries, I think Oden would at least be a top 7 center in the league. If he stops getting injured, I think he can be a top center in the league for years to come.
Thabeet was a big disappointment this year. He was the number 2 pick in the NBA Draft and was sent down to the D-League. Now that's a sign of bust-to-come.
Oden could actually be an average scorer at the least at C whereas Thabeet's scoring potential is non-existent...
I would take Oden.
Are a bust. Thabeet was taken too high, but I do not think he is a bust yet. He showed some improvement by the end of the season. Oden is no where near a bust when healthy. I want to see Greg stay healthy for a season I think he is a very good big man.
Oden would win 1v1 he would bull over thabeet
give me a watered down version of dikembe then sam bowie
Oden won't be another Bowie. Oden is still younger then some of the draft prospects entering this draft. If he loses the weight, gets his agility back and starts moving his feet, he will stay out of foul trouble. If you think Howard is awesome now just wait untill you see Oden at full strength and in excellant shape. Most of you have only seen the Oden who lumbers up and down the court. Just wait. Most of his injuries were freak accidents.
I've gone through stretches like that. Hyper extended my knee...took me almost a year to get back to full strength. My first month where i started to feel good again i got flipped going for a dunk and kneed myself in the face while landing on my shoulders. Compressed my sciatic nerve. That took six months. After that, rehab again, all that hard work and then I broke my ankle. S$%T happens. I've had 4 relatively injury free seasons since... knock on wood. One clear season from Oden and you will see.
Thabeet was immature this year. He didn't take his career seriously and just wanted to party early on in the season. Thabeet has some good potential, but not the type of ceiling Oden has.
1 on 1, Oden hands down.
I'm worried. He STILL hasn't been cleared 100% to resume all basketball activities. I've read reports that he's still experiencing pain/swelling in his knee. I've seen some pictures of him and he looks heavy/chubby.
He really needs to watch his weight. Most of his family members are heavy weight. His brother is like 6' 9" 300+ pounds.
I think his confidence is lower than ever. That's why this is such a big summer.
