Oden on the move?

Today it was reported by Broussard before the DWill deal to the Nets that we were going to ship Devin Harris to Portland for Oden or Miller. With that deal not going down is it possible anyone would want to take on Oden with his history of being injury prone.

You'd have to think that damn

You'd have to think that damn near every single team in the league would take a chance on Oden if the price is right.

OKC will be really

OKC will be really interested. Even more so then they are with Thabeet. They'll probably trade Jeff Green for him.

I think pretty much every team would want Oden. Yes, he has had a lot of injuries so far but he has been a dominant force when he has been healthy. Portland will give him a qualifying offer this year at 7mil but I dont think it would be crazy at all for a team to give up some decent talent and then offer Oden a 3year 17-18 million contract. IF he ever gets healthy he will be on of the best big men in the league.

Personally, I hope Oden

Personally, I hope Oden leaves Portland and gets a fresh start somewhere else.

I don't care what anyone says... That training staff has had a lot to do with a couple of his knee injuries.

The Wolves have a lot of cap

The Wolves have a lot of cap space, I wouldn't mind if they tried to grab Oden. He would be the perfect fit alongside Kevin Love if he can stay healthy. Although, we do have Darko and according to David Kahn, he supposedly is on the cusp of being an all-star...

Ok I understand Kahn loves to

Ok I understand Kahn loves to wheel & deal but I'm tired of hearing every case & scenario for a player to Minny because he is outrageous when it comes to deals. They have Love & most importantly to Kahn is Darko believe it or not. So I say no to Minny acquiring Oden.

We have won 28 games the in

We have won 28 games the in two years, we can only talk about the current team so much until we start imagining when the Wolves will be relevant again. That's when all the scenarios start to get thrown around.

But I agree, Kahn is outrageous. He has acquired all of these so called "assests", but he has no idea what to do with them. He just wheels and deals with the hope one of his moves will pan out and he will look like a genius. So far, it isn't even remotely close to working.

Although, I think the current teams struggles can be attributed more to Rambis's coaching and not David Kahn's personnel moves.

The Portland Training staff

The Portland Training staff deserves incarceration for what "THEY DID" to Oden and Roys knees. Do a little bit of snooping around, try to read a couple articles you will be amazed with the information you come across on those topics.

I agree with Indiana

To an extent. I would be extremely willing to take a gamble on Greg Oden for the right price. However, I have no idea what the training staff's responsibility was for his injuries. I am not saying they were not responsible, but I sincerely hope they weren't. I can feel you wanting Greg to get a fresh start, Portland's injuries have almost gotten to the point of being sketchy, but I feel our medical staff is on the level. I know that they have helped a number of our players as well, and I think a lot of it is bad luck. If Greg got a fresh start, I would be happy for him, but I still really hope to say him play for the Blazers. He and LaMarcus were always a front court I dreamed of seeing play together.

Oden needs to go to Phoenix,

Oden needs to go to Phoenix, they seem to have a magical staff. Shaq looked like an All star. Grant Hill who has missed a lot of games when he was in Orlando goes to the Suns and looks young again. Nash is 37 playing like he is in his mid 20's. They have older player running and gunning. They need size. Suns staff would get Oden moving around and running and dunking like it was nothing. Robin Lopez got hurt and came back pretty quick from that injuries considering other players would have missed half the year .

I would LOVE OKC to get Greg

I would LOVE OKC to get Greg Oden. Him and Ibaka at the 4 and 5 will compliment perfectly to Thabo and Russell's perimeter defense. 2 Shot Blockers would be great! Everyone knows that Jeff Green isn't fitting in at the starting 4, and seems extremely out of place. Ibaka has been finishing games at the 4, and it seems that Jeff Green's impact on the team is declining. He either needs to be a bench player, or get traded somewhere where he can play his natural position, the 3. We've talked about this for a long time, and with Portland needing a 3, in my opinion, this trade would be perfect for both sides. In the meantime, Ibaka and Collison will pick up the minutes and the slack of a Greenless OKC team while Oden gets healthy. We also can have Cole Aldrich finally play some steady minutes to pick up the slack at the 5 spot

If OKC got Oden, their starting lineup could be...

Oden - 1st pick
Durant - 2nd pick
Harden - 3rd pick
Westbrook - 4th pick
Green - 5th pick

@mikeyvthedon During his

@mikeyvthedon

During his "rookie" season, Oden banged knees with Corey Maggette. The Blazers' training staff did catch the small piece of chipped bone in his knee, BUT what they didn't catch was a thin hairline fracture on his kneecap.

That thin hairline fracture got worse over time without the proper rest and treatment, and is what led to his kneecap breaking completely in half last season.

Then we have his injury this season... It happened during *REHAB*. He was having problems with the device in his knee from the surgery to repair his broken patella, yet the training staff kept pushing him. Then all of the sudden he just mysteriously does damage to his articular cartilage and needs microfracture surgery. The Blazers' training staff's response was, "We have no idea how it happened, but it's a fresh injury." That's BS.

There are some injuries that just happen, but I don't think the Blazers' training staff has taken great care of the players or given them the right advice in regards to rehabbing, taking care of their injuries, when to return from the injuries, etc.

And knowing what they knew

And knowing what they knew about Roy's knees (he had two knee injuries before being drafted to the Blazers), how do they keep letting him return so early from injury?

IF they let him come back from his latest injury this season, they're stupid. They made the same mistake last season.

fishy

yeah... something's fishy with their training staff... I really don't think its coincidence how Oden would have to experience 2 microfracture surgeries... I honestly think they have done a very poor job managing injuries in their rosters... Something does tell me that these trainers have a lot to do with the Blazer's situation...

Even though he is clearly

Even though he is clearly injury prone and he comes with great risk i think any team will still want him as long as they don't have to pay alot for him. He should get a contract with stipulations in it saying hehas to play a certain amount of games in order to get all of his money
