ItsRainingNegsParticipantWho would you rather have as a back up veteran point guard and why: Kirk Hinrich or Andre Miller?

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantAndre. He’s more solid and is extremely durable and reliable

Sewok15ParticipantIt depends what your team needs off the bench. Hinrich is more of a spot up shooter and defender which fits well with Rose because he can play with or behind him. Andre Miller is more of a guy who can create his own shot or a shot for other players. Miller is too old to be playing 35 minutes a night but he still fits pretty well into the 6th man role…especially using his old man game against young teams 2nd units.
Hinrich brings some toughness and defense off the bench but isn’t really good enough to be a quality starter either. Hinrich won’t create nearly as much as Miller but he won’t give up as much on the other end either. This makes Hinrich my preference because he can play effectively at the 1 or 2 on defense. He fits in with most teams more because he doesn’t really need the ball and is a better shooter than Miller.
That being said I really do like Andre Miller and realized how underrated he was when he left Philly and the Sixers went from a .500 playoff team to a team that won 27 games.
