I don’t know if Sac would even want to but what assets beside the 6th pick would it take for SAC to move up to NYK 4th pick?

Sac could then go after Mudiay and the Knicks could go after Winslow or WCS.

I’m asking for the 6th pick, McLemore and the Kings’ 2016 1st rd pick (unprotected). Then I’d toss in some scub to make the deal work within the cap.

Not saying Sacramento would do it (in fact, they’d be fools if they did). But that’s what it would cost them, were I the Knicks’ GM.

It’d more likely be the 6th pick and one of McLemore/Stauskas/2016 first rounder. If a GM gave up two first rounders and one recent first round pick in either McLemore or Stauskas in order to move up just two spots, they’d be gambling their entire career on the success of who they take with the 4th pick.

for Nik Stauskas … by this time next year, your career would already be over. Then you’d risk ending up, like, all bitter and angry on some draft forum. Just negging people for no reason, while muttering to yourself, "If only I’d learned to read better, maybe I’d still be employed right now."*

Same scenario applies, btw, if you had only received the Kings’ 2016 pick and Sacramento somehow miraculously makes the playoffs.

*Not necessarily referring to you personally, cuseflynn10. Just to whoever negged me.

           ur assessment’s right on…

if NYKs are gonig to trade the pick, make sure you get plenty in return, or just stay put.

Personally, it makes 0 sense to trade the pick… it’s the type of move that has haunted the NYK franchise for decades.  Keep the pick and start developing talent in house!

Mudiay may fall to the Kings at 6 anyway, either philly or NY could take Porzingis and then Mudiay would be there for the Kings..

it’s a possbility, but i am not going to bet my money on it.

Phil said it’s questionable that they trade pick #1 – 4 (his exact words), and only possible if they fall to #5.

At the end of the day, i don’t think Knicks would get much for the #4 pick, so might as well hold onto it and draft Mudiay.  that’s probably what they would do (makes no sense to trade down for a vet or lower pick).

BTW, what did you think the third sentence meant? Could you make out any of the actual letters? Did you even recognize that they were letters?

You know what? Maybe you should try again. This time taking it nice and slow. Careful, now. There might be some big words for you to grapple with (like "fools", for example). Perhaps you’ll need to consult an online dictionary for assistance?

P.S. Once again, I am only talking to those who negged me. No one else.

I know it’s annoying, but I usually have to put a disclaimer in bold letters 🙂

Sometime I think having the neg button is a bad idea. Too many kids on here get a little to excited to neg everyone.

As far as Sacramento, I doubt they want Mudiay that bad. McLemore came on really strong during the second half and I think they’ll keep him around. Stauskas looked much better at the end of the season as well. The Kings’ needs are PF and pg, but Collision didn’t do so bad last year. Im not sure how bad his injury is, but if he can come back healthy, I will not give a king’s ransom (see what I did there?) to move up for Mudiay, who as shootingstar11 said, may fall to them anyway. I much rather draft a pf to pair alongside Cousins and give that team a chance. If McLemore can continue to improve, Collision-McLemore backcourt is a perfect compliment to Boogie inside.

As for the Knicks- Not only has Phil now said he’ll consider trading down, but they are spending a lot of time working out prospects who are slated during the teens. Most recently I think they worked out Kaminsky and Looney. If you think of the triangle, and the almost fact that they are signing Monroe this Summer, either of those guy will compliment Monroe down low, especially Looney who has shown to have a mid range jumper. Two trade partners comes to mind imo.

Detroit- Jackson is their guy at pg, and will love to rid themselves of Jennings. Jennings and #8 (plus other assets) for #4 would work for both parties. NY gets a starting pg and get get their pf at 8, and one of the million Phil rumors are he’s enamored with Lyles.

Atlanta- I’m a Hawks fan, and there has been debates on our blogs and local sports radio whether or not we should deal Teague or Schro this Summer. The arguments are that Teague has maxed out and whether or not you believe Schro can become better. Since I think we are losing Carroll, Schroeder and #15 for #4 can work. Atl can throw in Minnesota’s 2017 lottery protected pick as well. At 15, NY can add Kaminsky or Looney, while adding a young and cheap pg. Thus saving cap to further build their team. Atl can draft either Carrol’s or Milsap’s replacement at 4.

Another team to consider is Denver. They seem intent on moving Ty Lawson and it will be interesting to see how much value he has. I’ve mentioned him going to Sacramento for the 6th pick and Collison, but I’m not sure the Kings do that now. I wonder if the Nuggets would settle for trading Lawson and their 7th pick to the Knicks for the 4th pick? It would seem like too much to give up, but I could actually see them doing it. The Knicks would come away with as good of veteran that they could hope for and the 7th pick, and Denver would be getting their potential star player they’ve been desperatley trying to acquire. What do you think?

Cousins hated Jimmer too. Cuz dont like the white boys period. I bet Staus plays well on another team. I respect Cousins talent but him as your lead guy, your going nowhere. Attitude, body language all wrong. I saw some lazy defense from Cuz last season that would have got him bench3d for the whole game. Bad attitude.

How about the pacers giving Hibbert and the 11th pick plus maybe another asset for the 4th pick? Pacers could maybe reach for WCS (They love him apparently) at the 4th pick or trade it down to sacramento for their 6th plus a shooter like stauskas? Knicks could get Hibbert and draft Cam Payne with the 11th pick (Heard they were pretty high on Payne). Thoughts?

What about Kyle Lowry, Terrence Ross for #4 and Jose Calderon? Knicks want to win now with Carmelo in his prime, and Raptors can go through a quick rebuild by picking Mudiay.

What about Monroe and #8 for the knicks #4?

Detroit could get wichever SF is number 1 on their board and the knicks could still get Trey Lyles or WCS. Seems like it works for both teams

Monroe is a free agent so that can’t happen.
