Minnesota needs a full-time rim protector on defense. OKC needs production from their 5 spot. The Knicks need an influx of talent. With that in mind, would this trade work (it works cap wise):

    Knicks Trade: Tyson Chandler

Knicks Receive: Kendrick Perkins, Gorgui Dieng and Chase Budinger

Wolves Trade: Nikola Pekovic, Chase Budinger and Gorgui Dieng

Wolves Receive: Tyson Chandler, Hasheem Thabeet, the 21st and 29th picks of the draft.

Thunder Trade: Kendrick Perkins, Hasheem Thabeet, 21st and 29th picks

    Thunder Recieve: Nikola Peckovic

I think the Thunder say no, plus they would rather start Adams over Peckovic right now anyway

That is daylight robbery for the Thunder.  Makes no sense for the Wolves, not like they are contending and they are going to trade Love, get a rim protector in that deal.  There aren’t may low post scorers in the league so they should hold onto Pekovic

Rumor ’round the mill is that Flip Saunders prefers to move Kevin Love at the deadline. That much should’ve been made clear by the fact that he hired himself, a seasoned veteran coach, to head the team this season. If they are trying to do what the Blazers did with Aldridge this last season, they’ll need a guy like Tyson Chandler to step in and be the rim protector they’ve never had. Pekovic isn’t chopped liver but how much more reliable is a soon-to-be 29 year old center that has never played more than 65 games in a season? That should be plenty enough reason to do the trade, along with the fact that Tyson is a guy that Love is cool with, dating back to their California days and time with the USA Olympic team.

Wolves get killed in this trade. Pekovic is a solid starting center, Budinger is a nice role player, and Dieng really started to come along towards the end of the year. They send out all that for a back up center and a 3rd string center and the 21st and 29th pick? Yes I called Perkins a backup center because that is exactly where he is headed. This is a terrible trade for the Wolves.

Chase Budinger averaged a whooping 7ppg and 3rpg, while shooting 39% from the field and playing in just 41 games. At $6 million per year, for the next 2 years, the guy has become a poster boy for bad contracts. The Wolves will want to move that ASAP, especially if Kevin Love is on the move.

As for what they receive, in what world is Tyson Chandler a "backup center"? The guy is widely considered to be among the best centers in the league. He has his shortcomings in creating his own shots but he still is among the best pick and roll threats in the NBA, which would be enhanced next to a deft passer like Rubio. Defensively, he’s still a one man army and could do wonders for a Wolves team that has been a defensive sieve. Value for value, this deal is balanced on that front.

You know who else has proven to be good at getting double doubles? Tyson Chandler.

Wolves fan, No way in hell the wolves would get rid of Pek AND Dieng, especially for little return.

You wolves fans need to consider that the #21 and #29 picks are worth a lot more than normal this year.  #21 will get you a late lottery quality player, and #29 not far off from that.

So you’d be getting a center that can actually play beside Love, and 2 quality picks.

The problem with this trade for Minnesota really isn’t the value, it’s that it’s an almost 32 year old Chandler and 2 rookies that don’t really fit in with Minnesota’s young veterans, and the direction that Minnesota is trying to go.
