Adam BronzeParticipantThere’s no way Detroit does this and there’s no way Chicago gets Melo for Boozer and a few late draft picks.

esperanzafleet69Participantare you kidding? theres no way detroit does this?
they get rid of josh smith, jerebko, and Datome.. for a chance at boozer for 1 year, mike dunleavy, and greg smith?? and i think they could just immediately amnesty boozer anyways since they havent used theirs yet (not sure on this, idk if they have to be the team that actually signed him or not, but either way it doesnt matter, 1 year is still worth it.).
You are crazy if you think the pistons wouldnt do this. priority #1 for the new GM will be getting rid of Josh smith and this would be one of the better trades they could get for him.

BennyWestsideParticipantThey couldnt amnesty Boozer because they were not the team that signed him, and to get rid of all of those bad contracts they wouldnt get any value. To be honest, the Detroit part lines up in my mind. However, CHI cant get Melo for dropping as little as they did. They would be giving up all of their picks this year as well

WinterSoldierParticipantIf the Bulls want Melo the trade starts with Boozer(Expiring contract) Butler, Smith and both 2014 first round picks plus likely future picks.

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantI would would want Gibson instead of Boozer. NY should want as close to as much as they gave up to get Melo.

bcscards1ParticipantIf he convinces NY he is, then NY doesn’t have the leverage to hold out for Gibson or even Butler. The 2 problems I see is why the T-Wolves would ever do this and a technicality that the Bulls would be prohibited from giving up their pick #19 this year and their #1 next year.
