Not a trade thread- NBA Predraft camps impact

With the start of the pre draft camps this week, a lot of players' stock will be effected. Scouts and GM's can watch games, tapes, and talk to sources all they want, but this is when they get an up close look at the players. A lot of players greatly benefit from these, like Hansbrough last year who despite knocks for being a sub par athlete was pretty impressive in drills and measurements and he went from a 2nd rounder to #13. Others stocks plummit as questions arise on injuries, size and length, and maturity. Dejuan Blair went from a projected mid 1st rounder last year to a 2nd rounder. But the question I ask is what players do you think will rise and fall the most in these pre draft camps?

Chad Ford reported that Craig Brackins recorded a 40'' vert at Las Vegas which could have an enormous impact on his stock.
Luke Harangody, despite all his knocks is apparently in great shape, scoring and cleaning up on the glass as usual.
Sherron Collins was measure at 5'10 1/2'' in socks, but has some of the best handles in the class.

Who's stock do you think will rise and who's do you think will fall in these next couple weeks as measurements, athletic testing, and pre draft drills become more relevant?

the draft got it wrong with

the draft got it wrong with Blair and Hansbrough. I think they should have been reversed as far a position in last years draft.

It speaks volumes for Blair

It speaks volumes for Blair that he got legitimate playing time on the verteran heavy Spurs this year, he was a steal for sure. Hansbrough is a guy who I feel we haven't heard the last of, he was riddled with injuries and still managed to put up 8.5 and 4.8 in 17 minutes per game. I think #13 was a little high for him too, but being a legit 6'9'' when people before the camps were reporting him as 6'7'' and posting a 34'' max vert helped him out.

Sometimes scouts get it right and sometimes a vertical is just a vertical.

To early to make that call.

To early to make that call. Hansbrough was out with an illness all year but when he was there his stats weren't much different.

funny that everyone on here

funny that everyone on here had blair first round and sure enough he proved it on the court. I could see why he might slip based on the knee issues, but to fall out the first round was silly. Hansbrough showed promise but only played like 30 games so hard to evaluate him. I think he should have fallen, but defenitely not out of the first round.

As for guys in this years draft, im pulling for Jerome Randle. He was the pac 10 player of the year he was the Portsmouth MVP. He got wherever he wanted on the court against both louisville and duke in the NCAA tournament although he had trouble finishing in the duke game. He has range that goes beyond the NBA line. He would shoot at least one 25+ footer every game. Somebody will get a chance to pick him up in the second round and i think they will be happy.

I like the call on Randle, I tried to follow the Portsmouth as much as I could and another guy who I think could rise is Rodney Green. He was a projected mid 2nd rounder early in the year but was forgotten on a bad LaSalle team, but he has good size and if he can follow a good showing at the Portsmouth with good camp showings I think he could get back to where he was projected in October.

7chakras,
I disagree with Gallon, I think he'll get hurt from measurements, he does have a massive wingspan, but he's struggled with weight and intesity issues before and he isn't very quick or a good leaper. I think measurements will just confirm what people already know or hurt his stock.

I belive Sherron Collins can

I belive Sherron Collins can go 25-35 but 5''10' 1/2 is better than being 5''9' in socks they might give him 6''0' as they did Chris Paul. but yes if u followed this guy his whole 4yrs at KU or as i did his 4yrs at Crane tech hs and KU this guy have spectacular handles thats very ankle breaking and deadly 3pt shot he's gonna make it.....

I disagree I believe people

I disagree I believe people will be intrugued at a 300 poundish PF who has good feet. His leaping abillity isnt as bad as it seems for someone his size.An athlete like himself is either going to be hated by someone or loved and when you have those players they are bound to be drafted.

I agree on Rodney Green, that

I agree on Rodney Green, that guy can plain out score and can dominant a game. He has a great body too, he was just not seen because LaSalle was so bad. Good pickup for the Lakers if they could get him.
