Forte IVParticipantI thought the reason Grant Jarrett came out because he was getting information he’d be a 1st rounder?

CavFanPRParticipantNorvel Pelle and it’s not even close! Having bad grades don’t take away the fact that he’s one of the most talented big men in this draft. Grant Jerrett isn’t even close to NBA ready and will be out of the league before he even gets minutes.

qDizzle32ParticipantWouldn’t be surprised at all if they both go undrafted but who would you take out of these two talented but nothing proved youngsters? Norvel Pelle declared since he realized that he could just never make grades to play college hoops which I don’t think is that bad of an idea for him since its better than picking another school just to find out you’re ineligible again. Grant Jerrett declared since he knew he was gonna be getting less minutes with Aaron Gordon and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson which was a very stupid decision. If Jerrett wanted to leave for that reason, he should have just transferred to another school. Just because you were a Top 10 ranked high school player doesn’t mean you’re gonna get picked, look at Jereme Richmond. Who would you take out of the two?

qDizzle32ParticipantI’d go with Norvel Pelle over Grant Jerrett. Grant Jerrett got enough playing time last year to prove if he was ready for the NBA or not. I’m not saying that Pelle is ready, but like I said he could never make grades for college so this was at least better than being ineligible again. Grant Jerrett plays way too soft in the post for the NBA just from what I saw from him this last year. Pelle is stronger, more aggressive and is more built for the NBA level than Jerrett. I’ve never had the chance to watch Pelle play live but from what I’ve seen he is a great shot blocker and it goes up strong in the post offensively. If I were the teams drafting in the 50’s I wouldn’t see why I would have any desire to pick Jerrett after averaging 5 points and 2 rebounds his one and only year at Arizona.

qDizzle32ParticipantI would have loved watching Norvel Pelle and Jakarr Sampson play with Mo Harkless at St. John’s if they both would have made grades that year.

llperezI can’t evaluate who’s gonna be better because I’ve never seen pelle. Bit I like jarrett a lot. He dent get minutes because he didn’t fill an immediate role for zona. Kaleb got the center minutes because he is a big strong 7 footer who added physicality. Ashley got the pf minutes because he was a great athlete who could keep pace in the open court with a gaurd oriented team. Grant is a slower jump shooting big man who needed touches. But skill wise, he is very good and I think a first round worthy pick.

SiggyParticipantI would take neither.

CavFanPRParticipantThe big downfall with Pelle though, from what I see, is his attitude. He has absolutely ZERO desire to be playing basketball. He will have motivation issues throughout his career and obviously, he didn’t play in college so nobody really knows how his game will translate. Work ethic is a big concern too.
