BallinAIstyleParticipantThoughts on would whether or not this pair would mold together well enough to make a formidable front court in the future?
Both Embiid and Noel would add a lot defensively but how would the Sixers score in the post? I like the idea of Randle personally, think he would be a great fit with Noel down low.

vulture711ParticipantNoel is quick enough to guard 4s and Embiid I think will develop into a low post threat and can face up
Rick Smits and Dale Davis were a good combo with opposite skills
those 2 if healthy would make venturing into the paint a nightmare

Memphis MadnessParticipantA twin towers approach could help the health of both bigs. You can limit their minutes and then they won’t get banged up as much.
They should then look at Jarnell Stokes at 32 (if he is there) to be a third big and a power forward who can play with either center.
Trade Thad Young for a draft pick and help on the wings.
At 10, go with a 2 guard like Lavine or Stauskas.
With the rest of the second round picks go after a small forward type and shooters. DeAndre Daniels might be a good pick at 39. He is a 4/3 who can shoot three’s and rebound.
What about a Sixers team with MCW, Lavine, and Wroten as the three guard rotation, Greek Freak 2.0, and DeAndre Daniels at small forward, and an inside rotation of Embiid, Noel, and Jarnell Stokes? Joe Harris might be another guy for them to look at with the 52nd pick or at 54. He would give them another shooter on the wing.

LindseyParticipantI absolutely love how this looks for theSixers. Though i think Lavine has higher potential and a swag about him that makes me think he’ll reach it. With MCW and Wroten (who is very good and is getting overlooked with all the Exum/MCW talks) I think Stauskas would be an absolute killer. Put a shooter like that with multiple guys who draw doubles just based on aggressive athleticism and it will be dynamite. Love the potential of having Joel and Stokes joining Noel.
Noel will be dynamite on off the ball movement. He might be the quickest player ive ever seen at that height. Stokes stacks up favourably with Julius Randle imo, and Embiid can be that dominant dude who can score off isolations in the post and mid-range.
Very excited for this roster.

Mad MaxParticipantNot sure I would do that. We still haven’t seen Noel play yet and I already had questions about him, I really doubt he will be more than shot blocker/rebounder who can get some garbage baskets. Also Embiids is looking injury prone, and pairing him with another question mark in Noel is too big of a risk when you’ve got Exum, Randle, Gordon, Smart and some other quality players on the board.
To be fair I would take Emiid any day over Noel, but 76ers are where they are.

MattP31ParticipantWhile you and I haven’t seen Noel play and don’t know what to expect, Hinkie and Brown have seen him practice and know what he looks like after making some changes to his shot. If they feel that Embiid and Noel fit together then I will accept that.
Both are raw but have the athleticism that playing 4 isn’t a ridiculous thought. It’s not the ideal fit overall but the Sixers have such little depth and talent that they can afford to go BPA and then use future moves to build around that.

Memphis MadnessParticipantThe Sixers should trade 3, 10, 39, 52, 54, Thad Young, and Jason Richardson to Minnesota for Kevin Love, 44, and 53.
Then sign LeBron James and Chris Bosh.
MCW, Wroten, LeBron, Kevin Love, and Chris Bosh with Nerlens Noel off the bench MIGHT be enough to make the playoffs. They can then draft some shooters at 32, 44, and 53. PJ Hairston, DeAndre Daniels, Joe Harris, Luke Hancock, and Niels Giffey would be some solid options with PJ Hairston being an IDEAL option at 32.

ibe12ParticipantI know a lot of people don’t think two centers can work because of the way the NBA is now but I think it can work simply because both guys aren’t slow plodding Centers like Hibbard. Noel especially was extremely quick before his injury. I personally thought Noel would be better used as a weak side shot blocker and rebounder who can run the floor than a man on man low post defender. I think Embiid would be a better low post scorer and defender and he’s built more for it. This is assuming of course both guys can recover from their injuries and stay healthy.

Memphis MadnessParticipantCome on, LeBron, Love, Bosh, and MCW on Philly would be great. What a story! LeBron could wear Dr. J jerseys during the day and watch Rocky every night.
